Nice! I added you to the list.

You're welcome. My wife and I have a small business online and have to be aware of this kind of stuff too. Plus, I've gotten pissed myself because of how that works with retailers and online stores.

I'm dyin' here. I guess it's just not something a lot of folks care about? I was hoping this was going to have a bit more interest, considering that a lot of the stuff turns out to be less than what some of us spend on coffee/beer in a week. Not that I would sacrifice either of the two, lol. 20 more days. Hopefully we can at least hit 20 peeps.

It may be better to run one after folks get their tax returns....or maybe some are just waiting for the economy to get back up and running :notsure:

This is true, my personal business always does well during and through tax time. I was just excited to try to pass along the deal. If it was my business I'd try to be more strategic about it. I figured for the lower cost of the products there'd be more drive. It's not nearly as bad as the $900+ I just dropped on the RCI group Buy. Lol.

    Yes! Added.

I think a big part of it is that it's cheaper to buy their gear from Amazon with the discount and free shipping offered there

Interesting. I only saw an 8% discount available on Amazon. But I guess if you have a prime membership then it's saving on shipping. Unfortunately I live under a rock, back in the stone age, and we don't. So it happens to be better for myself personally this way.
I can try to push them for free shipping. Think it'd help?

It would be a start, shipping starts at $13 for me, so that's more than the 20% discount on kit

I spoke with the folks at Supreme, and they've agreed to do free shipping with the discount code if we hit the minimum 20.

I'd like to believe that's more than just a start.

That makes this a way better deal for someone starting a recovery kit. Now you need to advertise the group buy in the threads you normally hang out in.

I hadn’t even checked Amazon. I’d pay the extra just for Amazon to not take any more of my money. Haha.

I also try to avoid giving them my money, but money people shop only on price and nothing else.

I appreciate the advice. I don't think I can honestly say that I hang out in any threads. I just occasionally brows and I'm in on something if I think my response might be relevant. I'll definitely give this a shot though. So uh, anyone in this thread have friends and threads they hang in??? More people in here means more discount :D:D:D

In both of these I couldn't agree more. I typically try to give businesses I support direct sales through their websites versus 3rd party channels. Having previously had a small business that's sold primarily on Amazon, it's insane how much they rape the seller with fees. Then again, that's one of the Stepping Stones when you're building a trillion dollar business. If anyone is curious, depending on the category you are selling in, Amazon takes an average of 17%. In order to remain competitive, companies who are selling directly on Amazon will typically match their web price to the Amazon price. Finding the balance for charging enough to keep the doors open, the lights on, and employees paid, can be difficult, especially when there are so many international manufacturers selling similar products for a fraction of the cost, and making up for margin with volume. If I can give a company I want to support an extra ~17% without getting totally shafted on shipping, I'll always take that option.

I was actually just looking on Amazon for a strap, so I don't mind waiting for this Group buy. Feel free to add me to the list.
