I'll keep it as long as it stays together.

When a vehicle becomes more of an expense to keep it on the road, its time to move on.

my last truck had 143K on it and it was fine. i'd run a vehicle up to 120K+ no problem as long as you take decent care of it, more if its alot of highway miles and good maintenance. One of my friends has an '89 toyota pickup that has 250K+ and its never been rebuilt.
Some people just like getting new vehicles every so often so each to their own.

I had my '99 Tacoma 8 years, 160,000 miles. It still ran fine, but loosing value. I've had this one, one year and 22,600 miles already, so we'll see......

I had my 96 for 12 years with 229k miles. I was forced to give it up this July because of the Toyota buy back program. It was a 4x4 extra cab LX V6. It was showing it's age but it was still running strong. I would have kept it until it died or when I had enough money for a new one. I'm hoping to keep the new one just as long or even longer.

My last truck was 13 years old (non Toyota), since any vehicle are really bad investments, I hold on to them for as long as it is financially viable. When the monthly repair bills become the same as the monthly payment was, time to go.

I had my last tacoma 11 years, Toyota bought it back on the frame issue. I'd still have it except for that. Plan on keeping my 08 until the wheels fall off.

I traded in my '83 toyota truck with 147K miles on it for my '91 Toyota pickup. Sold that to a friend with 173K miles on it when I bought the Tacoma. 2-1/2 years later and he's still driving it.

Unless Toyota comes out with something I want more, a long time.

Thats why I bought a Tacoma. I wanted something that would take all my abuse, look good, and be fun to own.
