They sure looked / felt like they were metal, but I could be wrong. But again we are not talking about an expensive chrome bumper here, they are cheap caps.

The harness drops out the bottom, with the other harnesses, and then over the frame rail with some other harnesses to the backside of the trailer hitch. It’s very intuitive.

They're chrome colored plastic. The entire stock bumper is basically plastic with a thin metal like skeleton inside to snap everything together.

Lol, no where to go really. I work from home 6 days a week so doesn't get driven often. When I want to cruise around I typically take the car for short jaunts

I completely understand. I worked from home for the first 3 months immediately after buying the Tacoma so mine didn't get driven at all. I was all too happy to take it out to a local lake to go kayaking or SUP!

Yeah, I try to alternate between car and truck to at least get the oil warmed up and moving. I suspect once I start seeing patients in person again I will be driving a lot more. Tele Health for the win

I've got a 2015 tho with a chrome steel bumper so I worry about moisture collecting behind the cover.

Thank you for the response. I'm looking for something in 8" width to fit the tires better. If the OEM options were 8", I would stick with the 4Runner Pro option

Had no work today so I dug out an old 12 volt air pump from my camping gear and thought about how to install it in my truck along with a tire-plug repair kit for punctures. Found a box the right size but it wasn't going to fit under the hood, so I came up with an ingenious (self-proclaimed genius here) mounting clip made out of a piece of stainless steel I had lying around. (I have a lot of stuff lying around) The clip holds the box securely in the bed, and allows me to easily snap it out when needed. It feels great when I finally make use of some of the stuff I've been collecting all my life!

I guess an added benefit is that unlike an air pump mounted in the engine bay, this one can easily be carried to another vehicle to refill aired-down tires or fix a flat, etc...
