I have been monitoring and logging with OBD fusion for months. Every PID that I could add. All of my logging has proven that it is SAFE and gets better gas mileage.

Let me know if there is something that you want me to check.
Please don't assume that we are just making changes and not testing.

Great, glad to hear you are doing some testing. That still doesn't answer the question of what the noise actually is, and personally I would want to know. You do you. I'm also glad people are enjoying your tune(s).

I will just make this recommendation for everyone modifying tunes or flashing modified tunes. Be sure you do your due diligence. Two members flashed user modified tunes yesterday from a source I will not name and soft-bricked their ECM. I can't say for sure it was the tune and not a random occurence or fuck up on their part, but there is always the potential. This tuning platform is still pretty new and still in development.

    Edit: Got cut off....

Regardless of whether logging and dyno tuning while making changes, we are all basically working blindly until Mat gets training videos and/or more documentation. There is a lot of information that tables alone don't tell you.

There's two variables likely causing it. Max fuel cutoff RPM's, the airload tables, or the combination of (which is confirmed). Wouldn't be difficult to narrow it down. I've heard it with other tunes I have made as well, but I also increased/changed the same parameters.

I (and Mat @OVTune) can guarantee you that the "soft bricking" was not tune related.
All I can say is make sure that you update your VFtuner to NOT be on 1.2.9.5.

I have thousands of miles logged with this tune! Not a single issue it runs below or at normal operating temps! Improved performance all around. MPG increased.
I do have a TRD intake and the Woosh is even better sounding with it on WOT pulls! Increased air load mapping is working very nice!

I have close to 1K on this tune and NO issues, I also log many PIDS each time I go out. This tune is by far the best I have tried or made. The engine temps stay around 191 and trans temps hang around 186 degrees.

Add ACIS status. Perhaps it causes the sound.

There is an update. Do it. Do not stay on 1.2.9.5. From what I know, there was Flasher problems that were fixed quickly.

Thanks for doing this. I am using the Premium Kruiser 4 now, and looking forward to seeing the differences. I assume you will be using premium fuel for all the tests. I previously did not state any comments regarding gas mileage for Kruiser 4, but now that temperatures have risen from 0F last week to 60F this week, my gas mileage for the same 200 mile trip went from ~15 to ~20 mpg. Our trucks really don’t like cold weather and must run richer to compensate for the cold temps. Thanks PapaRee for all of your hard work and everyone else that contributed as well.

It reminds me of hitting the powerband on a 2 stroke dirt bike. Not quite as extreme, but still fun.

    Please update to 1.2.9.6.

You could probably figure out what the sound is just from logging when it occurs.

It has nothing to do with me liking or disliking anything. I am entitled to my opinion just as anyone else here and I purposely did not and won't call anyone out by name.

I do run my own tune. I am confident enough in my work and the changes I have made that I run it on my truck without any fear of it causing problems. I have not however vetted it enough to make the same changes to other ECMs and/or distribute publicly. That is my personal choice and no-one else's. It also does not mean that someone else hasn't or can't produce a tune and distribute it themselves.

I simply made a statement about being careful about how to go about making changes and having a comfort level with the amount of testing done on custom tunes regardless of source. This stuff isn't simple, and a minor error can have big consequences.

If you don't like that I have an opinion, scroll on by.

Almost 1500 miles on Kruiser 4.0 tunes, a lot of 70+ climbing ,off road, stop and go traffic and not a single problem.

I see the OP has 1 tune for the 2021. Does anyone know what tire size and gearing that is for? I am looking for a premium, 33, 5.29 for a 2021.
