Just wanted to give some appreciation to Avid Off Road for their fine service and quality sliders. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. Just a happy customer. https://avidoffroad.com/cart/index.php/

I'm in Phoenix, so I was looking for a local shop and found Avid. My truck came with Predator steps, which looked cool, but wound up destroyed after a couple trails. These sliders were priced right, and Avid included the install.

Very solid in construction and bolt on to frame. Welds are clean and powder coat is nice. I kept mine simple and think they look great. I'm glad for the protection.

Here are some shots from the Black Canyon City Overlook trail just north of Phoenix last weekend. The sliders were great. My skid plates, however, were crying for mercy. When will the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup be available? I could use a bit of lift.

How hard would you say that trail is? Im in Anthem and been wanting to check out that trail but wasnt sure how difficult it would be with a stock height truck (i have sliders and skids too)

No problem for a stock truck. Hard enough to be fun. Fairly long. Give yourself time. Just wish I had 1.5” lift and 265/75/16 tires. You’ll get some reasonable hits.

    Agreed.

You know, if you put a comma in the wrong spot in your second sentence, people might get the wrong idea.

Tbf, his ass is nice, so either would've been acceptable.

I haven’t had the same experience with Avid Off-road. My Powder Coat finish is poor/unacceptable. They haven’t been on my truck for more than 2 months. The slider, I’m assuming wasn’t cleaned properly before the process and it started showing rust and the finish is completely chipping off by the pressure washer at the car wash. I can’t get a reply from Brandon about the issue either.

You can either hit quote on the bottom right or type @ before the username and it'll tag me.

That's a bummer man. Idk how business is for him with all the covid nonsense, but hopefully he gets back to you soon.

Since this post, I was able to get in touch with Tanner at Avid. He is issuing a refund for the finish work. Aside from the the issue with the Powder Coating, these Bolt on Rock Sliders are Solid.

Do you have Tanner's email? I'm having trouble getting any updates from Brandon too. I have emailed him 4 times since I ordered and asked a quick question that he replied to. But that was on February 4th. I know covid has delays but it's been over 6 weeks without a single message. Need to figure out other spare situations soon if this doesn't ship out.

I also only ordered bed bars and basket. It's not a huge order.

I had been looking at these and considering doing kick out no powder coat and doing a Bed liner/paint myself so touchups later on will match. Maybe a summer sale?
