@ovrlndkull why jd fab over something that puts the front suspension mounts higher and ties them together over the engine? Looks like those can fit dual rate coil overs. Not sure where I saw that on here or how much travel you can get

So that's solomotorsports. That kit you speak of allows you to run a 10" travel CO. But it is also a +4.5 wide and you have to run a U-joint outer since it converts to a 44 outer stub. With that amount of flex and turning you'll constantly be breaking u joints and possible the ears on the axle or the stub shaft. Both would put you out of commission for a very custom repair. The JD fab inner 934s are off the shelf and the axle shafts are stronger and bigger. You can get an optional shock hoop then run a bypass and put a crossover tube. I think that crossover tubes minimally add some rigidity just due to the way they are bolt in. Plus JD fab pushes the lt forward anyways to correct caster solo doesn't. After it's all said and done I'm about 4g cheaper with JD fab and loose not that much travel like 3-4 inches tops with a imo a better set-up

That’s a good point about off the shelf parts. I’ve only scratched the surface of long travel, I’m anxious to see your setup. The marlin crawler kit looked promising but I don’t know if they stopped working on it or what. I liked the lower arm clearance.

Finished up my tire carrier build. Turned out way better than I anticipated! Spent roughly $350-$400 in materials ($100 of that was cutting discs, literally) and tons of hours of labor since Jan 1st. Great learning experience with metal, my first welding project. Think I’ll add a folding table and call it good (Don’t zoom in on the welds. They’re sturdy and reliable but a bit thicc and ugly:rofl:)

JD fab is pretty close to the same clearance. MC is much more expensive too. You can preorder although I wouldn't do it. MC gets some more travel like the solo due to the orientation of the uniballs where the balljoints are and running a custom spindle. From my understanding in talking with Harry he's going to be working on one that'll compete with them. If you think my LT is gonna be sick just wait till you see the rear end I'm ordering up from them. I kinda knew they were going to be my call to get a rear the way I want it built.

LT is a whole new animal man.
