I don't disagree with you...but the seat position is kinda bus like.

Remove the seat. And sit in the back.

Seat is back as far as it'll go unfortunately. Someone said I should have test drove it b4 I bought it which I did. But commuting a few hours a day is where I really understood it was a bit uncomfortable. I have enough leg room length wise, it would just be nice to move around a bit more. Bought the truck from a buddy for 7k and they go for 15k plus so I couldn't pass it up with such low miles

Just wish the seat was lower. If it was lower about 1.5-2 inches it would be perfect

I would say there's probably a way to set back the rails for the seat and give you some more backwards adjustibility. It will probably be a fab job and expensive if you can't figure it yourself but if you got a good deal on the truck it could be worth finding a solution. I would take the seat off with the 4 bolts and carefully shift it back (there's wires underneath it) and try to carefully climb into it. Not sure if your arms are going to feel comfortable with the seat further back then stock, you might also have visibility issues. Also if you do it yourself or get someone else to do it make sure it is solid, as this is dangerous in an accident if it breaks free.

I don't think lowering the seat is a reasonable solution to your problem, unfortunately, but like others have said you could try an upholstery shop first. The lower seat will probably give you more back pain on longer trips, so not my first option.

Oh and further to lowering the seat, with your frame it's going to make the stock spots for arm resting suck eggs. Many tall people actually lift the seat to make the armrests comfortable.

those are my old seats. No one sells an ocs bypass for passenger anymore so only real option to retain passenger dash airbag deployment is remove the passenger seat weight sensors off the Tacoma seat and ghetto clamp them so airbag is always armed.

6"4 here, I honestly got used to the position and steering wheel, I would like to lower the seat mainly due to my eye level being too high...

Something custom it going to need to be done here if you plan to keep this truck. I would seek a different seat and see if it can be mounted lower, further back, or both, possibly without the rails. Just consider what's being done and if you plan to sell this truck in the future.

Otherwise, I would find another vehicle that fits you right. Good luck man.

I wouldn't mind swapping seats, just don't know what fits or what ever. Hoping someone that's done something similar could possibly help me out

Before you spend anything on mods make sure that any proposed changes don’t have adverse side affects. Pedal to column doesn’t change so I’d recommend seeing if the seat rails can be either extended or shifted forward (pushes the seat back without putting the armrests in your armpits). On my ‘14 the rails bolt to the feet so it looks like it’s possible to add 3/4” x 3” x 1/8” steel strips that bolt to the feet in front and slip inside the rails. You’d need to also relocate the rear feet rail attachments. But you wouldn’t need fancy metal work, just the two strips in front.

I thought about that as well! Would need to have someone do this being that I don't have the knowledge, tools, or space to do this at my home! I wouldn't mind extending the rails like you mentioned. Putting the seat back even 1.5-2 inches would extend my legs far back enough to clear under them under the steering wheel.

Where do you live? Chances are I’m not close enough but this is way more simple than bolting sliders or new shackles so if we can figure out the nuts and bolts somebody’s gonna be able to cob the strips and redrill the rear rail holes. My truck is 2-1/2 gen, can you post picks showing the rear feet with the seat fully forward and the front feet with it fully rearward? That way we can confirm or blow up my idea.

Shoulder harness won’t move so the least possible shift to accommodate your knees is probably best.
