Leave it in. It’s just corrects the gauge cluster. Completely separate from the tune.

Fedex has been backed up due to weather in Tennessee. We just got our next batch of cables about an hour ago. So all pending orders leave tomorrow.

To get your tune pack we need your ECU ID

Even with gear lock, it will downshift when the rpms get low enough. You can make it so it's just gear lock for those higher gears by adjusting the ect shifting tables. You would need to be in S mode and ECT for it to work.

@OVTune really hoping I didn’t screw myself maybe you can offer some insite. A few weeks ago a guy In San Antonio was offering a deal $200 to come up to DFW and flash OV base tune file 2.0 on people’s trucks. It sounded like a good deal and the guy didn’t seem sketch so I paid him to flash my truck to the newest Toyota flash and OV 2.0. Truck has been driving great. I’m seeing more and more people in my area offer this service if you don’t want to flash yourself.

Flash forward two weeks new guy pops up. He claiming he talked to you about flashing trucks and that you were aware that the guy that originally offered the flashing from SA had manipulated the original OV tune file and that they were not the same. Now I’m a little worried he flashed my truck with some random file and I don’t know what it is or if it’s dangerous or not i.e. lean or to much timing. Not trying to start drama he said she said BS I just wanna make sure I didn’t do something stupid and I’m about blow up my truck from a bad tune.

dude, don't believe shit you see on facebook...I'm sure they guy flashed you with the 2.0 tune and it's perfectly fine.

here is a good one from just a few mins ago on FB...the guys in these groups are not the brightest bunch.

Seems Daniel is full of shit and/or jealous that you didn't pay him to flash your truck. I wouldn't sweat it honestly.

I’m not that gullible I’m not worried about a virus I’m worried someone goofing around with a fuel or ignition table trying to make a little more sauce and now I’m running like 15.1afr at WOT with 35 degrees of timing lol.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking. The guy that did mine seemed knowledgeable and was super nice walked me threw it and different options to chose from did not strike me as someone trying screw people. He flashed about 25 trucks that day. I might just be paranoid...

This is why it's important to know who you are buying from. It is not our responsibility and I have no idea who these people are. I can't even get people to stop using my logo so I've given up on that. We will focus on our software, providing features, and what the market does with that they do with it. I'm not intervening in any of it.

%100 not saying it’s your responsibility or trying to insinuate it’s your fault. I was just curious if you recognized the name. Well maybe I screwed up and just need to do it myself. Normally I do but I screwed up and got suckered in for a “good deal”.

It's a shitty mess not worth jumping into.

Especially with all the shops and individuals now claiming to be "authorized OVTune dealers". Yeah, maybe it's not technically wrong since they've got vF and tune packs, but it's also purposely misleading since it makes it seem like OVTune has partnered with them rather than just selling them the software.

And then it just gets further perpetuated by people posting about it, spreading it, saying whatever shop or person is a licensed OVTune dealer...and then some random person who no one knows about and can't be vouched for flashes some fucked up map, the customers reach out to OV to solve the problem, since they were misled about the situation.

The bad part with crap like FB is that there is no effective way of saying stop or providing reasonable advice on verification. It just gets buried.

The weird part is that it seems that some folks wanting a flash are jumping in the deep end and not looking first?

When I tune other trucks, I provide each customer a summary of the work done. When the tune flash completes, in the flash utility, you can copy the summary and that summary shows everything that was done. Example below. Notice highlight in yellow. Shows what I put on the truck, which in this case is a OV 2.0. Then you can see where I reset the AT and LV. IN terms of whether I modified that tune, I guess you'd have to trust that I didn't, but I am very careful about keeping the OV 2.0 tunes separated and untouched.
