What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Boy she looks factory fresh

 

Right on, mine have chipped paint and the drivers side is missing the little molding piece (?) near the side mirror. I'm worried water is getting down in there.

Applied Tesa Tape to the main (injector) harness since the black plastic disintegrated.

 

Theres some dude on here who has a fresh frame and he aint fuckin around. Think he's on tons and 42's. I was doing it all wrong when i grew up. 24s....lol

 

Tried to get mis-labaled 95-00 Anzo tail lights to work on my 2002. Didnt work. Carperts.com was fast in getting me a fedex label so dropped those off. Found a spare spyder tail light I had that I forgot about so rewired all my add-ons (camper shell 3rd brk light, backup sensors). Got it all working in the back, then my radio craps out. I keep forgetting its just the fuse needing a jiggle so I pull the whole thing out. That made my in-dash thermometer stop working due to loose ground. Get all that working and my DRL LEDs dont work so I slap the underside of st.wheel (i know thats where the splice is) and they come back on. zeeesh. I need a beer.

Took an all pro second gen bed rack and remade the rails for it to fit the first gen better, and then modified it to be able to have a bike loaded in the bed without removing the rack:

I am finally cleaning the garage from this project after like 2 months of tinkering when I can. Just need to do some finish stitch welding on the rack and then its time to clean it up for paint/hardware reinstall. Then I need to source someplace to stitch up a back door for the fabric.

 

The 99's at 285k, hopefully it never gets any higher
and the 02's at 250k and just starting its life as something other than my school truck.

 

How do these look? OME 2883, Bilstein 5100. The coils don't look like they're sitting on the rubber under the top hat correctly. How about the collar on the bottom? They're facing out, but unsure what I should clock them at.

 

I may be wrong but the rubber gaskets on top of the coils look upside down

 

good catch! I'm working on the passenger side right now, flipped it around and it looks a lot nicer

 

the cutouts on the rubber gasket go over the bottom ends of the studs right?
