You didn't say you were too tall... I assumed you were of the heavy persuasion due to your comment about "In my fat Joe voice".

I think you are on your own with that one...

My other comments stand however. I hope you find one that suits.

So you bought a 15K dollar truck for 7K dollars and it doesn't suit your needs.

Sell it for 15K and take the money and profit and go buy an F150 Ford.

    Bam problem solved.

Don't want a big truck. I commute! Nor do I want a truck payment

Like post 12 asked why did you not do a long test drive ? Tacoma's are not built for tall guys, that's what full size trucks are for.The seats on these trucks are already basically bolted too the floor,so there is no fix.

There is a difference of going on a 20min test drive and commuting 2 plus hours.

There is always a fix! Why buy a house if you have to fix it up? Why have a wife if you could be single? Why buy a used car when you can buy a new one? Why mow ur own lawn if you can pay someone to do it for you. Why do anything!?

I didnt post this for people to ask why did I buy the thing, I posted this to see how I could have something better for ME! But to answer the why...... I bought the truck because I got it for a great deal with less than 60k, I needed a truck without having a payment, and I needed a vehicle that was good on gas for my commute, I needed a truck to go dirt bike riding, etc! So instead of me going and buying a used tundra, tacoma, or 4runner with 100k plus for 20,000$ or a full size truck for 40,000$ I bought this smaller truck to fix my needs. Now that I have it I wanna make it better for myself!

Well It looks like you're in a pickle.

If it were me. I would buy the extended slides and move the seat back further. That would be the most cost effective way IMO.

    Machine shop / fabricator.

Take one of these Kits and I'm sure they could make it work for you. It isn't rocket science.

To be honest I started a reply with much the same message as others but before posting it I thought again about what else could be done and went out and looked at my seat. It’s not up to me to decide what makes sense for someone else and the internet is I’ll suited for swapping shoes. What it’s best suited for is sharing information and ideas, and solving problems. The problem presented was not that the truck is all wrong, just the seat. Focus on the seat and what can be done about it. There’s a thread for making them taller so I have no problem looking for a slightly different mod.
“Buy something else” is just tired.

I can see the irritating posts are getting, well irritating. Apologies for mine.

I have a xrunner, the sport truck bastard cousin to the rest of the Tacoma’s. I don’t know, maybe the seats that came with it are different. It probably doesn’t go back any further but the overall height may be different. If you think it’ll help I’ll take some measurements.

Yeah, par for the net though. Best you can hope for is a few nuggets among the weeds. If yours has the rails riveted to the feet then they’re likely the same, not much sense to dropping the seats just to make it harder to see out.
