Howdy from a new Tacoma owner (Gen 3 DCSB MT Superwhite) and poster.

I have a Smartcap on order and would like to have it painted to match. Any recommendations in the CLT area? Leaning toward powder coat.

Would have to remove the heat sensitive components for sure. May stick with wet coating. Will have to see how much prep work is involved for PC vs WC.

I would paint it and call it a day. I guess its not as cool when its NOT powder coated but what are you gaining by doing powder coat a smartcap?

Nothing other than being able to say its powder coated.

If its prep'd the right way...paint would be just as good and your not risking the damage during the bake.

    Just my .02

Appreciate everyone's feedback. Agreed wet coat would be easiest. PC is not to impress folks. I have been on this earth too long to lose sleep over that.

In any case, if anyone knows of a good (and reasonably priced?) finisher in the area, let know.

Bannerman: Looking forward to spending more time on here and getting to know everyone.

As for taxes, I was hoping it could help me figure out how to not have to pay any!:D
