Finally got the roof rack done and installed. Had a few hiccups and a major brain fart that resulted in some powder coat damage. So I had an idea inspired by my wife, a little tribute to the Marine's that landed at Iwo Jima Janu 19 - March 26, 1945. Also added the Sokietech hood struts and found the paint again. An extra set of OEM cargo D-rings for the front of the bed are waiting in the wings.

    Semper Fi!

I wish it was that easy... picking my lift for the JT was a pain in the ass because everyone measures it differently and nobody seems to use this method. Some measure front bumper (least lift), some measure fenders, some measure rear bumper (most lift)... it's crazy that nobody has come up with a standard process on this.

Anybody want (yes, want) a complete CB set-up? The CB is that hidden Uniden that everyone gets. Includes two antennas, quick release, spring, and antenna mount (3rd only). Just come get it. I was going to sell it, but nobody seems to be interested. It's in my garage and taking up room I want back.

I'm in, if large, powerful, unreliable American vehicles are allowed.

Still working on getting myself back into a Toyota...

I would take it, but can't use the mount.

My man! I want to check out the new place, too.

I was thinking of how I could make that joke myself. But couldn't figure it out. Something like large, semi-reliable American in a large, unreliable American truck? ETA: powerful...yeh, I am powerful, too.

I ended up with a 2011 GMC Sierra. Pretty much a base model except for the Z-71 package, which really doesn't mean anything, except for that it has "upgraded" shocks and a sticker. Oh, and a mechanical a rear locker. I replaced the rear shocks already and @Darkgoatracer helped me throw a leveling kit on the front to fit 33.5s. Front shocks and a 3/2 lift are next.

Can I pay for shipping and a six pack of your choice? Really want a CB setup but don’t even know where to start.

So the downside of the wife working from home (her office is off the front porch) is she just texted me to let me know "So, a wench showed up to the house today..."

I said damn it, she wasn't supposed to show up. Plus I asked for a winch!

So much for trying to sneak that mod through!! JK

The wife, 2 pups and I are going to do the relaxing Blakey Mt. in Madison tomorrow, then camping the night somewhere by the Rapidan river. Anyone is free to join us for either the trail or camping, details below.

We will stop at the BP in Madison around 1 then head to the trail. It doesn't take longer than an 1 & 1/2 hours normally. I'd imagine we will have a camping spot by 4:30 pm at the latest as long as there are some available along the river. If all the river spots are taken we might camp at Graves Mountain farm camp ground which is a big open field with fire pits/toilets (honor system, 10$ per night). Blakey can be done in stock. We're bringing a faggot, small grill, maybe some wieners, probably some alcohol. Let me know if you wanna meet up, cell service normally drops once you hit the trail.

    Feb 26th
    1300 - 329 Washington St, Madison, VA 22727
1500/1630 - Rapidan Camps (somewhere along the river)
1500/1630 - (Secondary) 3822 Old Blue Ridge Turnpike, Syria, VA 22743
    1630 - Probably wrecking my drone/fire/drinking/ect.

Open to other new spots to if anyone has suggestions.

JT there are all kinds of Marine-type jokes going on there. And I ain't touching them!

I don't know the details, but the Graves Mountain Resort (?) has a family-style restaurant that's pretty decent. Nearby there's also a joint that'll take you on a horseback ride. Just ideas. I don't know what is and what isn't open for business.

You had me interested until this point^

Perhaps I'm not versed in all the uses of the "f" word...but I know the Brits use it for what we call cigarettes. What exactly is this item you're bringing?!?

My FiL's birthday is Saturday, so I'm out, but have a blast, don't let the alcohol, weiners and f's make for a really regrettable weekend out in the woods!!!!
