I am running my Icon CO's (extended travel version) at 1.75" thread on the drivers side and 1.5" thread on the passengers side. Didn't want to run too much because i had stock UCAs.

Well...The best thing happened to me yesterday and i got a call from downsouth motorsports telling me i won a set of UCAs in their facebook raffle so i'd like to bring my truck a little higher in the front now for when i put these UCAs on.

My question: What is the max thread showing that i can have on my coilovers. (I won't max them out but i do want to know). I'd like to get about another inch out of my front lift at this point.

    thanks

I have 1.5" passenger and 1.75" driver, and there's currently a bigass discussion going on about whether or not my CV boots are going to eat themselves alive.

Current measurements are 39" ground to fenderwell with 285 tires and 24" wheel hub to fender well.

Gonna be decreasing the adjustments tomorrow for a more sane CV angle. Will let you know what I end up with.

EFFF! I just installed my extended Icon's 2 weeks ago and set them at 2" exposed threads on both the driver a 4x4.... looks amazing and am actually on here today trying to figure what the chances are of me eating my CV boots on top of my aligment still not in spec on the passenger side, They can't seem to hit 0* camburg, 0* caster and 0.04 toe with my Camburg UCA's ...

So with that said....... are you using after market UCA's if so, what are your aligment specs... btw my name is Bobby, pleased to meet you and ask away haha.:D:D:D

I'm still a noob at this and am running Icon's up front...Could you please explain why your suggesting 2.0 on driver and 1.75 passenger? I ask because as I mentioned I'm running both sides at 2.0 exposed threads and my passenger side alligment still can't be put in specs even with my camburg uca's it's currently at 1.5 camber so supposibly am riding on the outer side of my tires.

most people runmore on the drivers side to compensate for the taco lean. the battery, gas tank, driver are all on the same side. so to adjust for the tacoma leaning to the left, they lift that side higher up

TC UCAs. I dialed the COs down to 38" ground to fender on both sides, or 23" wheel hub to fender. CV angles look much better.

Alignment specs are .02 to .04 toe, 2.9 to 3.1 caster, .4 to .6 camber. Drives very well, so far tires seem to be showing even wear, but they're MTs so it may take some time to show. And I don't drive the truck very often.

DR coilovers AAl 285 kelly safaris lightbar/skidplate need more!
I run mine about 2" thread showing on driver and 1.75" on passenger side.
The angle isn't really too bad and i have had my 285 BFGs for 3 years driving atleast 40 miles a day and the tires hardly wear! ground to fender is about 39.75" on passenger and a little less on driver because of the lean

1 5/8 and 1 3/4 and the icons ride great. Worth every penny. CVs are touching but that's fine. That can be replaced or get high angle Half shafts. $600 each

If there were $600 high angle shafts for 2nd gen tacos in the US, I'd already have a pair.

    Can you provide a link?

RCV makes high angle shafts that run about $1200 per shaft. Those are the only US units I know of. Let me know if you know differently.
