After much deliberation, I have pulled the trigger on these tires in 35 x 12.50R17. I hope I don’t have too much trouble fitting them.

I wish they made these for a 16" wheel... been eyeing them for a while and they sound ideal to me in the 10.5 width. Any other alternatives for a skinny 35? I am planning on going with the BFG 295/75/16 KO2 to get a little more clearance than my 285/75/16's, but not sold on going wider for a barely taller set of tires. I also have always been a fan of the skinnier tires aesthetically.

I am trying to go taller than my 285/75/16's... the 255 are pretty equivalent. I loved the 255 on my first gen though.

I took the first steps today. Ordered BAMF CMC Plates and (1) TRD Pro 17x7 wheel. Going to get a tire mounted up this weekend and get to work in the next few weeks on clearing the front for the skinny 35’s. I’ll be doing this on stock ride height so I’m excited to see the wheel wells all filled out. :sawzall:

I have the 35/10.5 on 4Runner pro wheels, no problems. Cmc, pinch weld beat and about 1.75” off the fenders.

Has any one found these for under $200? Looks like the price has jumped up with all the positive press.

Interested in upgrading to these 35x10.5x17 on the TRD PRO 4R rims. I have 3" lift,CMC, pinch weld done and will trim fenders to fit. there seems to be some good talk about this sized 35" skinny tire and minimal Rub at full lock. recently saw there is a 275/80/17 Wrangler MT/R tire with similar specs, any reason there isn't much talk about that tire size? the tire seems to be much lighter then the kenda tire.

any input about gearing with these heavier tires? i see most of you have the AT gearing or have re geared. I know my MT has 4.3 gears and im running OVT, i know its subjective but thoughts?

You shouldn't have any issues fitting the kenda tires. I'm regeared with only 255/80R17s and I wouldn't want to drive 35s daily without gears.

The MT/R is more of a deathtrap on wet/slushy surfaces, just FYI.

I just pulled the trigger on (5) Kenda 35x10.5R17 D Rated and (5) TRD Pro Black SEMA wheels. Can wait to have the extra ground clearance.

been debating these or another set of Ironman MT 35x12.50R17s. both are around the $200/tire price point No complaints about the ironmans but these would be quieter

curious to know how it fits on the 3rd gen. Can't get bigger than a 34" tire under my bed without it hitting the shackles and leaf springs
