I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking this. I find it sad that’s where my mind goes. Hoes ain’t loyal. :(

Man what a ride today. This trail, MOAB, is no joke. Sketchiest descent I’ve done to date.

Man that’s what we said when we first saw it. Like “are we sure that’s it?” But they had the trail markers and rocks painted. Check the photo with my buddy in it. Right by him is a pink arrow, that’s the more extreme line. If you look toward the back right of the photo you’ll see blue, that’s the “alternate”. Took the alternate the whole way but man it was not easy. We were thankful for the painted rocks or it could’ve gone really really bad trying to find our own way down.

and before anybody says anything, we didn’t do that rock roll he’s standing at because it drove your right into a pile of big rocks and neither of us have full face helmets. We didn’t want to go home with less teeth.

on the topic of sketchy, here's a feature on South Mountain in Phoenix that I want to tackle soon. I ride solo 90% of the time and if I do ride with buddies I'm by far the most technical rider of the group so no one to tow me in.
[IMG] This is the second half of it. I can clear the first half but it's not exactly pretty.

wasn't intended to be. Sometime the jank in phoenix gets annoying. Excessive in some spots. Makes me appreciate when I go other places and get some flow. Also the reason my flat cornering ability is basically non existent.

Haha I was kidding, but those are some giant rocks to just come out of nowhere. Not sure I’d know how to ride on that.

I heard rumors that fat bikes just roll over it all like a giant marshmallow. I want to test the theory :D jk.. our riding out here it techy enough to try. it maybe I will try.

My favorite part is how the camera always makes features look doable.. But I guarantee that those are super sketch...

funny enough, this guy is on the less popular line. the red dots mark the more common "easy" line that the guys who have been here riding for like 10-20 years do. Issue with the line the guy in the pic is doing is the steps are abt 2 feet tall but only level out for about a foot or so, meaning your front is down one before the rear is down the other, then the rear hits that small level area and you do the superman.
