Did you even sit in the truck before you bought it?

The Tacoma’s seating position is already on the floor and is one of the many overlooked flaws of both the 2nd and 3rd gens.

are you sure the steering wheel is all the way up? Have you tried pushing it inward/ pull out ward to get it to go higher? I don't know if it's the camera angle but I feel like my steering wheel goes up much higher than in this pic

I have very long arms too lol. Me reaching for the wheel won't be a problem.

This is probably what I'm going to have to do. I was looking at the site extend my seat .com and their seat rail designs are pretty dope but they just don't make one for the tacos!

No I bought it and test drove it without ever sitting in it! Again as my post said a few pages ago..... test driving a car for 30min vers driving/commuting 1.5hr one way is totally different. Lol

    A few things
Maybe try an auto upholstery place. Maybe they can reshape the seat/carve out some foam so you sit lower. It may not be as cushy but may be more comfortable.

Had a buddy that was a metal fabricator but he got into a accident in June last year and is still to this day still in hospital. Have another friend who owns a shop but I don't wanna be without my truck for 3-4 days! But at this point I think that's what's gonna have to happen

It was one of my first 2 mods, the other was the rear camera install since I was prewired to the rear bumper(look for a 4-pin plug on the passenger side of the rear frame).

Have a picture? What's weird is that my tailgate has a camera inside on the latch to open the gate!

All you need is 2 - 1” x 3” strips of 1/8” or 3/16” steel, a drill, and 8-1/4x20 or 6mm x1.0 button head cap screws 5/8”(16 mm) with matching nylock nuts.

No but I know there’s a thread somewhere around this place. Lie on the ground with your head halfway between the passenger taillight and the middle of the bumper and look up. If you’re prewired there will be a 4-pin plug on the frame there that’s capped.

If it takes your buddy 3-4 days to do this go somewhere else lol. I'm sure a metal shop could put together a solution in a few hours.

May buy one of these and cut the legs off of my seat and then bolt my seat to this bracket back further? I just don't want it to raise the seat up anymore

I test drove mine but it wasn’t until I put tools in it that I found out the springs were snot. Pretty sure it had a camera on the lot but that was gone too.

Anyone know if 03-08 4runner seats bolt into 2nd gen taco? Asking because Extend my seat .com has 03-08 4runner brackets that Extend the seat 3-4inches. Would be dope to just buy those and bolt them in.

Man I'm in the same boat. Does anyone know if that hump is hollow? I think I'm going to try to make a bracket that will relocate the front mount point to the back side of that hump. The rear mounts should be easy. I've also seen some videos about shaving an inch or so off the seat padding itself
