I switched to 315/12.50/17 Toyo MT’s back in 2018. I’ve been to swamp ghost quite a few times but last I heard it was still shut down. They shut it down a couple years ago due to dumbasses going out late at night, getting drunk, and firing weapons

Yeah I got a banned a couple years ago in my 2nd gen. People were lighting fires too so the owner cracked down and let Orange County sheriff run it. I got stuck for 15 hours out there once. My buddy got stuck too, walked couple miles to the highway nearly impossible to get an Uber on the side of the highway bought a winch and went back into the swamp and tore down a couple pine trees in the process of pulling our trucks out. Moral of the story never say the forbidden words “last trail”

Just got my 3rd set of STT PROs. Before I retired, I drove around 30K miles a year. I gave up on mud tires....just wore em out too fast. Stuck a set of KO2s on the truck. Next step would have been to start wearing a dress.....:anonymous:

So...retired and miles cut to less than 5K a year....mud tires now live a while. The STT PROs ride better. A tick more noise, but nothing the radio wont cover... Did lose about 3/4 mpg.

Also, can put my dress back in the closet

I know this is a very late reply. I haven't kept up with the thread.

I had the STT Pro in 285/75R16. I also had the S/T Maxx in 285/75R16 and 255/80R17. All E-rated. The Maxx in 255's rode rough compared to the 285's. Why? I was able to run the 285's at a lower PSI to maintain the contact patch. Comparing the two tires in 285, the STT Pro was a slightly rougher ride due to being a few pounds heavier, but still much better than the Maxx in the 255 size.

Would like your opinion on the Toyo’s vs Pro’s. I’m on my second set of 315 Pros and considering the Toyo for next time. Do you notice the extra weight? Those Toyo’s are heavy.

Anyone running these in a rainy state? If so how do they do?

3 sets of STT PROs later....and we get a good bit of rain at times....they do very good on wet slick roads and handle high volume rains as well as any off road tire I'm familiar with.

Huge improvement over the BFG KO2s I just took off the truck...

Very close to pulling the trigger on these tires. My only hesitation is not knowing how their highway manners will be. Never ran a mud terrain and we have a 2,000+ mile round trip planned soon. How do they handle at highway speeds? Do they feel stable and do they wander alot?

The 33x12.5’s I had on my first gen were great on the hwy. I drove a few trips that were 500-1000mi round trip to Colorado with no issues.
