According to stuff I've read I can't use the soap dispenser with pressure heads, only the soap dispenser head. I haven't actually tried yet though. I would like to have the option to spray some kind of cleaner in there though.

Speaking of salt, this whole thing got started because someone on this site mentioned that commercial car washes don't filter the salt out of the water they recycle, so you end up blasting your car with salt laden water in the wintertime. So I decided I wanted my own undercarriage blaster.
Cool! I thought of that but it wouldn't fit under several of the vehicles in the fleet. In fact I looked around quite a bit to find the lowest profile available. It's small enough to go under low cars but will still blast the Taco too.

Next up: some way to 'quick-wash' the rest of the vehicle. I'm not looking for a perfect wash, just want to get the gunk off. (Pressure spray by itself does not do a great job.) I'm picturing a big squishy pad on a stick. Haven't found the right thing yet.

Parked myself in this (fairly uncomfortable) chair in front of the garage this afternoon. Full sun on the asphalt -- what luxury. Felt fabulous to be outside, comfortable and best of all not using a shovel!

I have something close to this, found it on clearance at Tractor Supply. Threads on a regular garden hose. Does a good job reaching the inside of the frame, rocker panels, behind bumpers, etc.
The nozzle pivots back far enough that you can spray yourself if not paying attention :anonymous:.

Saves crouching down which is one of the things I can't do well anymore...

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. Great to see the Taco has such an active forum and community in PA!

Funny thinking back on it, I learned how to drive with an old 81 manual long bed. My mom taught me how to drive manual as my dad had no patience! Reference of the car that we no longer have. Wish we still did, but was given away to a friend of my father. It was left to rot in a field.

Just delivered to me yesterday right of the delivery truck. Just going to keep it clean, spent too many years trying to "race car" stuff. Toyota Grill on the way and possibly swapping with someone with a scooped cement hood. Still debating on wheels.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!!! Nice clear skies this morning...so it's around 12 deg out there. No wind though so it's not bad.

Boiler is now fully repaired- they had to replace the drain valve so it was quick work. It's actually nice to have found a plumber who responds to calls and meets commitments.

We got our 2d vaccine shots yesterday - Moderna. So far, my reactions have actually been less than with the first shot. We'll see how Lynn and her mom feel this morning.

It's Friday. We made it. Together. Stay safe and warm!!
