The spool gun I got from HF when I bought the Vulcan works really well.

That's the one I'm getting. I have a really sketchy spool gun I bought off Aliexpress years ago, but I'm trashing that one. I don't need some Guangdong/ Shenzhen special-long-time-best-deal going all explody fireworks in my hand on 220v.

I finally got the spool gun only to realize I don't have the right gas adaptor for my CO2 tank. I also don't have any valves or T connectors on hand, so I'm not going to mess with it until later. Too cold for aluminum right now anyway.

I didn't bother to clean the cart. What's the point? It came with some freebie HF flux core and solid wire, but I stuck a partial 5lb roll of solid in there to start.

I was giddy at how well this m'f'er welds compared to my old POS. First bead on something I'm tearing apart for scrap.

I'm hoping to make a metal run tomorrow after New Wheel Day. I need to get started on some trailer upgrades before the mowing season and I have a 50cc all-terrain shop creeper to make. I have to get the projects flowing early this year.

And here I am sitting on a new welder that I paid almost full price for... :annoyed: What are you looking at?

Still have the Titanium Mig140 with Stargold. Good little rig, has served us well so far.
But was thinking Vulcan MigMax 215 or something similar as a dedicated 220 welder, keep the little one for if we needed to weld something outside
off the 110 power. Have more capability, made sure I have plenty of places top hook into power out there.
