It even saved my nose from getting broken in Sedona! A good visor makes a big difference if you don't feel like going full-face.

    not enough.
lolol. Then there's th eoccasional van...and the super shuttle days where everyone is shuttling south side.

    superman? soulja boy????

People can argue helmets all day. I think the best thing to do is find one that fits your head. I have a weird shaped noggin so sometimes some helmets just put pressure in weird spots. Currently running a Bell Spark or a fox proframe because, well, it fits my head. and I got a free bell because some plastic from the cinching clasp broke off so...I'll probably be using one of those for a while.

Everybody is just going to tell you the helmet they wear right now. I wouldn't recommend buying a helmet online - their fitment varies widely.

Giro = deep dome, Specialized =super shallow, 100% = moderate, etc

But definitely spend the extra for MIPS

Why would you get that in addition to the stumpy?

This is my leading vote. But which one gets your vote?

I have local shops that are specialized, Santa Cruz, Kona, transition, and norco if that matters.

I guess depends how you have your stumpjumper setup, And is this a normal stump or the EVO? You said enduro so in my mind I thought opposite of that is a short travel trail bike. Hardtail never crossed my mind because out here there's just so much rock and tech that hardtails are unridable for probably 75% of riders. But where you are a hardtail would make sense. So scratch the trail 429. If I could choose two bikes I'd have the Evil reckoning and something along the lines of Ibis Ripley/Trail 429. Then again it's all about your terrain and riding style.

Regular stump. But I’m not trying to replace it. I’m literally asking, if you had this stumpy, what would you get to pair with it lol

I have a 2018 cannondale jekyll 3 that was my #1 bike and then my #2 bike is a 2020 santa cruz tallboy. I feel like there is enough difference between the 2 bikes that it adds variety to trails and they both have their ideal trail. The jekyll is for downhill and enduros. The tallboy is for anything relatively flat, long climbs, and bmx style features. Maybe you would be interested in a bike in the tallboy category: "down country" they call it

Yea that's a hard one since it's such a well rounded middle ground. Personally since I will not ride a hardtail here or Sedona(basically the two main places I ride) I would just be waiting. Anything other than a hardtail I don't think would be different enough to justify for myself. Diamondback synch'r are a rad bike. Rode one for a few bike park flow trail laps. If I was going hardtail that would be my choice.

Kinda my thoughts. A hardtail would be the only thing that gave me something really really different to ride.
