Build a Can Cannon to use as a tennis ball launcher. Doubt he'd object to that.

I could see that. I managed 800 on precision targets with a 16" slinging inefficient and slow 75's. Some MK262 MOD0/1 clone loads like IMI Razorcore or Black Hills Match would get you there easy. Especially if you're going for minute of deer/minute of man accuracy, a LPVO with an ACSS type ranging BDC is a solid combo. I've thought for a while that if manufacturers could figure out an LPVO reticle truly useful from 1x to 10x, an AR in that 13.7-14.5 range slinging top tier ammo is the only rifle most people could need.

Minute of man is pretty much all I would ask from an AR at that range, at least for .223/556.
I think 13.7” will be a good combo with the YHM resonator K (~5”) for a do all rifle, add a 1-10 and a offset red dot for BUS and your optic setup can handle it also.

A useful reticle like this? :spy:
    6FBB8E56-C471-4A07-93BA-A7D13ACC75EC.jpg

It’ll be released sometime this year, FFP, 1-10 magnification, lit reticle with 2 NV settings, 34MM tube, but price point hasn’t been determined yet (it’s not completely finished with R&D either)

I would throw one on all of my ar pistols! That would be as close to perfect as possible!

I’m excited to try it out whenever it becomes available (probably Q3 this year), I think it’ll probably be heavier than other optics in this category though.

I am considering an AR pistol project whether I buy one or build one ( never built one before) as I have said before I have been nothing but impressed ith the Swampfox Blade but considering switching it to a pistol and thn perhaps a 1x6 LPVO of theirs for the rifle. I have always been a fan boy of Leuold and i do like the Vortex I got for the 10/22 but I like the Swampfox optics.

Side note: Not really sure yet what I think would bennifit me most either an Ar pistol in 556 or I am really thinking 9mm

All depends on use. I have prolly 7-8 ar pistols in 556 since I reload more for 556 and my main training bolt gun is 223. 10.5 plus barrel length ar are super accurate and handy. They make great truck guns!

I have never had or used one so this is all uncharted water for me. i would think an ar pistol in 556 wold also allow common parts between it and the rifle even mags and ammo obviously. On the other hand a 9mm with an 8" barrell would be pretty neat and compact. I DO NOT want anything I have to put a stamp on.
