vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

I also only got 5 credits with the software. I just assumed it wasn’t swapped over yet

 

My extra credits showed up when I updated to the newer version. Have you done that?

Interesting. If you haven't opened a tune file yet or connected to your Taco, then I would send a message to @OVTune .

 

Yea still waiting for the cable. I’ll check again when I get home and then shoot an email or message if need be

 

When I first downloaded and installed new version, it didn't show the extra credits. When I opened it again with internet connection to register vin and prepare ecu for flashing, they were there.

 

Same for me. I haven't connected anything or pressed any button in the program except for the License Info button. I'll check gain later today to see if they showed up like with what @ihatemytruck is reporting and if not then I'll ping @OVTune (via ZenDesk since I think that's his preferred option).

 

tried to update to the new software sunday a few times. figuring user name, password, master key issues. zendesk ticket sent sunday, still no reply. Ski

 

When I updated, it didn't ask me for any of those things. Was able to go straight to registering the VIN.

 

We are no joke getting tickets like this multiple times a day, and with everything else going on they don't get priority responses.

We tell people to remember their usernames and passwords.

 

I'd point the finger at LastPass, but I'm ultimately to blame.

 

sorry Mat, I tried every "normal" password, user name, and upper, lower case I could before it timed out. didnt just want to keep trying, hitting keys. too bad, you couldnt have an automated check/reset on user names/passwords. would ease some of your burden. wrote mine down, with the master key number, and placed it with my tactrix cable, this time. thank you for the help, and response. "timeout' error means you aren't connecting to the server. Try again make sure you are connected to the internet.

 

Is there a way to disable the CEL in vf tuner on an automatic trans. with catless exhaust?

I’ve seen the dump tube map for manual trans. But no catless map for automatic trans

 

bad choice of words for me. I meant that I didnt want to have the system lock me out, for too many wrong log in attempts. so I stopped (before it did), to verify master, user name, password, upper, lower case etc...

Well, after a few weeks, I made it all the way through this thread and the "1.05" thread. Now my brain is scrambled and I have the most basic of dumb questions lol

I figured with the upcoming nice clean 1.3, it is a good time to pull the trigger. All I want is simply the capability to flash VFs 2.0 tune-pack file (and their future improved/additional ones).

- On Tuesday I ordered the Bundle only. I thought I read that I needed to get the software and cable, then read my ECU info, and then give that to Zendesk while ordering the Tune Pack. At this point, I have not ordered the Tune Pack. Is that the right way to do it, or should I just order the Tune Pack now for the additional $390?

- I received two emails at this point. 1 confirming my order, which does have a link to PDF instructions about the software. Also 1 containing UPS shipping info for the cable (it actually says "software license + flash cable". Am I supposed to get another email with info I need in order to download/install VF on my laptop?

Just sort of stuck on what to do/expect for the Bundle I bought, and then whether I should buy the tune pack now, or wait until I have the cable and software installed.

Does that email with the PDF also contain a master key? If so you should be good to go: go to the main page, scroll down a bit and click on the "Download" button. Then follow the PDF to install, put in your master key, create a licensing account, all that.

 

That will get you a set of tunes from @OVTune to flash and edit, if you want. I bought the old school Flash Kit and upgraded to vF with the Tune Pack. Well worth it.

The DL is in the middle of the vftuner.com homepage.

 

I just checked again and can confirm I still only have 5 credits. So I'll submit a ticket.

 

1) Sorry if I wasn't clear. I mean do I just order the tunes now, or do I need to get the cable and software set up to read info before I order the tunes?
