Smog is not an issue. Aside from the tune having been tested, and passing emissions, the map's (probably, saying this from past tuning experience with rotary engines and Ford 4.6) increased efficiency most likely actually improves the emissions output. Don't worry about smog, it's perfectly fine. Do it, you will NOT regret it even the least bit.

I got a price for the Toyota 120m/125k extended warranty from my dealer and said nope. They want $3300. At that price i'll sell the truck before the bumper to bumper is up and buy something new again

Who on here was selling extended warranties? I thought someone had mentioned a dealer that had the hookup.

Have faith, that truck is going to last 15 yrs+.
I had a 1987 Toyota regular cab 4x4 and it was still on the road in my neighborhood after I had bought and sold a 1992 access cab 4x4 and then a 2001 Tacoma access cab TRD 4x4.

I'm only at 3900 miles on my 2018 and she's no longer a service virgin, plus mine falls in the VINs where at some point the timing covers are going to leak.

So then are you saying it's worth getting the extended warranty? I got quoted the same thing, and had to say no.

Added an AL Offroad Onyx Roof Rack. This thing is super strong and looks fantastic imo. Almost NO wind noise which was very surprising. The service from AL Offroad was awesome, they are in Texas and after some shipping issues (not their fault, UPS sucks) they got the replacement parts out to me in the ice storm, which was amazing. I highly recommend this rack to anyone in the market for one. It's awesome.

3 questions. What size are the new toyos, are they the A/TIII, and are you on stock suspension?

I have been looking at them for myself. Are those the stock 17's and tires, or are you upgrading your wheels?

Stock rims, which I thought were 16s?
I ordered new rims. I went with the Tandem offroad charlie's in bronze. 17x8.5 with a 12mm offset I believe.

I think it depends. I got a TRD off road with 16s. I think the sports come with 17s but I could be mistaken. Those are gonna look sweet. I have been debating on whether or not to go with the A/TIII in a 265/75/16.

The MeSo customs stage1 total talelight Kit is installed! Was one of the easiest mods, only found the reverse light socket a little more difficult than the others to get off. Overall it looks great so far I can't take a video or good pics on my own. Here is the difference in just the taillights, meso on the left driver side stock on the right. It's cloudy day here and the stock barely shows lit in the photo.

    With left turn signal active
    IMG_20210226_161436.jpg

I still want to see it at night but this really going to be a nice mod.

Edit: went out for a drive and now the left signal is hyper flashing. Wasn't in the driveway but seems I wasn't running the engine. Emailed Tacoma Beast will see what they say. Probably need load resistors.
