If you didn't unlock 04B33 with your previous credits then you have to purchase credits to unlock it. Updating via TSB doesn't automatically give someone access.

I understood that normally wouldn't be the case. The fact that we got five credits when we updated so we could tether our truck then to the program confused me.

The additional credits we have everyone is so they can register their truck for flashing.

it costs 4 credits to unlock a ECU to access (edit) and 4 credits to register the truck to be flashed. Everyone was given an additional 4 credits so that nobody would be paying to register their truck.

I updated VF Tuner yesterday and encountered the following. I've already submitted a Zendesk ticket but curious if anyone else has encountered a similar issue? Using a known good ODM module, cable and have unplugged/re-plugged cable, module, restarted PC/VF Tuner app and validated solid network connection. Not able to complete Prepare ECU step. License info screen shows correct Username, Password, Master Key and 1 credit.

Thoughts and if anyone has encountered the same issue, how did you resolve?

So to clarify, if I now want to flash my friend's truck that is a different ECU ID, I need to pay four credits to edit his tune and another four credits to unlock his VIN.

the only reason i ask is somebody mentioned on here somewhere that a E load 33in tire is almost the same weight as a 35in 6ply

    Won't matter!
Tire size settings don't do much.
About a year or so ago, I ran all different settings on my truck with 33" tires. Not much difference at all.

If you want Performance, you need a Performance tune.

That is the nice thing about getting the tune pack, try different ones and see what you like best.

More solid numbers after running 65-80mph on the freeway with @PapaRee Kruiser 4.0 premium (32’s, 4.88’s)

This was at a stop light after I exited the freeway running 15-20 mins

Is the newest VF update you’re not paying to unlock an ECU ID, but you’re paying to unlock a VIN?

If so damn, that’s a huge kick in the nuts for like my moms truck and mine. Since now you’ve gotta buy more credits for what in the past I did not.
