    So everyone is doing this on their own time separately or do we all leave from the same point at the same time with different instructions? Is it done with GPS or just visual checkpoints?

    everyone will be doing this on their own or with another driver if they are coming down with someone.

    everyone will leave from the same point, at different times (5 minutes staggered starts) where there start time will be recorded.

    you will be given paper instructions which you will have to follow (in 2.2 kms, turn right)

    @Norilsk did I miss anything?

    Alright, I am going to post the instructions one day ahead so everyone can familiarize with map readings and plan ahead.

    THE ODOMETER CHECK
    The purpose of this is to see how far off your odometer is from the mileage on your instructions. Once you know this you have to adjust the route mileage by your correction factor. Here is how to perform odometer check:

    1. Zero your trip meter at the beginning of the first section.
    2. Drive to the end of the odometer check.
    3. When you get to the official mileage at that point, calculate the factor using following formula:

    Factor = (your car’s mileage) divided by (the Official Mileage)

    Step 4. Multiply all distances written in your route instructions by the "Factor".

    Example: Your trip meter says 5.13 kms and the route instructions Official Mileage says it should be 4.88 kms.

    Factor = 1.05122951 = 5.13 / 4.88

    Use just the first two significant figures for this event (1.05).
    Now when an instruction says turn left at 60.89 kms your trip meter would say 63.94 kms.
    Your navigator can quickly go through the mileages and adjust based on the Factor value.

    TIME

    You will be asked to start timer/stop watch at certain location and continue it running till the end of the rally and stop upon arrival of the destination.

    The following times will be collected after to compare to official time and to choose the winner of the event!

    READY? SET? GO!

    See you everyone at the start, 10AM -> start point is here 44.361643, -81.547188
