We could have a closer relationship and he's legitimately changed and mellow out it seems. But I guess I haven't gotten over what a dick he was growing up so I'm working on trying to be nicer and talk to him more frequently. He was an abusive alcoholic but thankfully quit drinking in my teens and is a much calmer guy then he was

I'm sorry to hear that about your dad, that's rough. :( good for you for recognizing his poison at least.. I've learned from my shrink that it's important to realize your worth in a relationship and just because you're related to a person doesn't mean you have to have a connection with them.

I say you steal the jeep back in the middle of the night and then block his number

I've pretty much decided to go out of my way to be his friend when they're split, and not try when their together.

I need to develop that mindset  I don't care what it is, if it's a hands on task sometimes I'll spend more on learning and product to do it myself vs buying it from someone else.

Unless it's surgery... that's one thing I'll pay someone else to do

@JKO1998 Jaxon Flaxon Waxon, does your truck already have the factory power mirrors?

Some like it complicated. One of my buddies had ex-wife #2, ex-wife #3, and current live-in GF all working for him at his company at the same time. I think he's been married 5 times or more.

Also if your plan is to re-pin the door harness in your truck to the 4Runner mirror, the connectors are very different and so is the pin size (probably)

I was thinking I could just plug these fuckers into my existing plug and whatever wires aren't in use (heat power/ground), I could just snip them and ground somewhere and then run power to a switch.

They don't teach that shit in environment school

The pins are probably different sizes. I know the Tacoma mirror and the 4Runner mirror use completely different connectors, and potentially terminals.

Just do it the redneck way and run the wires with spade terminals. You can even clip the pigtails off your old mirrors and solder the motor wires to that, and using spade connectors for the heating element.

I'd just wire it like they did in the 4Runner tbh, inline with the defroster circuit. You can't forget to turn it off and it won't kill you battery, because I'm telling you you're definitely gonna forget it's on and be sad when your truck won't start.
