I just touched it with my finger to wipe a smudge and it scratched it. Used a window cleaning microfiber to see if it was just skin oils and it scratched it to! Argh

Ideas? Anyone remove or replace this? Something to protect it with?

    Thanks

A body shop can replace it. Don’t have idea of cost.

303 maybe? Might hide those scratches a bit but would wash off quickly in the rain perhaps? I've only used mine on interior plastics, there are lots of folks on here that could advise....try the detailing forum? I hate those black strips too my mittens scratched both sides

You can always remove them if it bothers you. Black trucks don’t even come with those stickers.

    I agree with @Mrtacoman88

Peeling it off will probably look even better, and it will be easier for you since the truck is so new. Use heat, goo-gone, and compound.

I think the dark colored trucks look good without the blackouts.

My truck has tree branch scratches there, usually wax helps to disguise them.

Agree with a few posters here. If the scratches bother you, peel them off. If you’re uncomfortable doing it, I bet a detail shop would do it for pretty cheap. My access cab came without the pillar stickers.

I took it off. Your truck looks like it's MGM and here is what it looks likes without the black vinyl.

I like the stickers. MGM truck here. I totally thrashed my drivers side one and would replace if I can get a replacement for a reasonable price.

I think that taking the stickers off makes the truck look cheap.

OP if you get a line on a replacement will you share?

I’m in the “sticker makes the truck look cheap” camp. I think the light colors get the most noticeable benefit from removal while mgm is a subtle change but a classy one.

I would just contact your local body shop that does vinyl wraps. They can whip out new replacements for cheap. I'm on the fence whether I like the black between the windows or not now.. I'll have to grab a cocktail and ponder in the driveway tomorrow LOL

Take it off! I had a clear bra installed on mine the other week and the guy took it off for me for $20.

Hit it with a paint polish, will definitely get it out.

I'm keeping it for now. If it gets ugly, I'll replace with a better material. I like the look w/ it especially after i just got the front windows tinted
