    Things and stuff and such

Same. My front section is factory tube cut down to locate the carrier bearing. Rear section is a little bit thicker wall with a slip.

yea could be dangerous as you could run into binding your shaft if there's not enough spline in there or it could fall out.

im talking about the splines in the shaft. The part that's covered by the boot. If you had to stretch that to make it fit there's likely little shaft inside the boot. You'll have to open the boot to see.

    2005-2008 4-cyl Pre-Runner, 2009-2010 4-cyl 5MT Pre-Runner, and 2005-2015 V6 Pre-Runner frames have the brackets a bit higher than the 4WD trucks.

However... 2009-2015 4-cyl AT Pre-Runners use the same crossmember and frame brackets that the 4WD trucks use, so would not require a custom crossmember to swap to 4WD.

How strange. Seems like they should have done that on all of them. The complexity of managing different frame and crossmembers vs just a different trans mount seems to be unnecessary.

    I have mods
So, it sounds like not matter what, I will have to modify the trans crossmember to work when I do the conversion on my daughter's 2014 V6 prerunner.

Exhaust re-route - a necessity with the conversion? I haven't had a chance to look under my daughter's truck yet since she lives in San Diego and I'm in Tucson, gathering parts. Have the front diff but that's about it right now.

Yes to exhaust reroute. It currently routes right where the t case will end up sitting.

Bilsteins 5100 set at .085 Rear custom 1" add a leaf 265/70 R17 tires. Custom made aluminum tonneau cover with bike rack. 4x4 conversion with 4Runner transfer case.
if he uses a factory 4X4 drive shaft it will fit without any mod. Prerunner drive shaft sections are different lengths.

Except the mount for the carrier bearing is a couple inches off. Easy fix but still true

Is that your stock transmission isolator mount? I think we have the same trucks, DCSB V6 prerunner, Toyota gives me two different part numbers when I search, idk if I can reuse mine. It’s in good shape rather not spend another hundo

No it's a different part. You have to get the one for the 4wd tranny

Gotcha, do you remember which part number? Toyota is saying 123710P041 and 123710P030 both fit. I think it’s 123710P041

    For the 1GR:

    12371-0P020 is for 2WD X-Runner
    12371-0P030 is for 2WD Pre-Runner
    12371-0P041 is for 4WD
