I am considering selling outright or trading my truck for a full size. How much do you think I can get outright for my truck...

2020 Tacoma double cab 4x4 trd sport
    Cement color
    7,000 miles
    Bilstein 5100's in rear.
    Procomp hammer 60 wheels
    General grappler atx's 265/70 17's
    No lift
Have all keys with one in meso fob.

Truck presently has an offroad|sr5 hood that is wrapped with dennison satin flat black. I have the scooped hood in storage and it will go back on truck. Will sale with both hoods if need be. I also have the original sport wheels and tires but the tps sensors are in the general grappler tires. The original tires can go with truck too if buyer wants them. Truck has never seen offroad and has been babied with female driver since bought off lot.

Hard to say, really. The market for used Tacomas is bonkers.

    Rough KBB says:

Trade in Range: $31,693 to $34,350
    Private Party: $34,755 to $37,672

But who knows if that is even reliable at this point? There could be a gap between data and reality with KBB at this point.

Edit: I am also making a lot of assumptions, didn't account for any packages and they don't list Cement as a color (I selected gray). So consider those ranges with a rock sized grain of salt.

Don't know the answer, but you are likely to get more from Carvana or CarMax then the dealer. I would not trade it. Check them out. If it were me, I would put it back as close to stock as you can and sell aftermarket stuff.

Here in Louisana, we get a break on our taxes if we trade. Havent started shopping seriously to see how much dealer will give. I figured id have to get at least 2K more from private buyer to come out ahead.

I hope you got a good deal when you bought it. You must have close to $40k+ into it. I’d just accept the size and deal with its shortcomings.

Ive owned full size trucks for years and decided to try the midsize market last year. Missing the full size truck for a number of reasons. I have to say tho the tacoma has been a pleasure to own and I can whip around town, park, and turn much better then in my last truck which was crew cab 6.5 ft bed. This time Im getting shorter full size. Haven't decided whether Im selling or trading yet.

You live in Southern California by chance? I am finding my 06 Tacoma quad cab 4.0 with a 5 speed automatic is not up to snuff to tow my travel trailer. I am considering
getting a newer Tacoma which should show a tow capacity of 6,700lbs.

    A few.
Id say it would be worth it to try and sell outright. Carvana's price dropped over $6000 on mine since last summer. I would check autotrader or cars.com to see what similar tacomas are listed for and list it for slightly less.

I’d put it back to stock as close as you can get it. Then sell the “mods” as a bonus.

People want stock. They are buying the Toyota brand. They don’t want to pay for your “mod” hobby.

I have a 1996 Jeep XJ 4x4 in excellent condition and 100% stock. Because it’s stock it’s gonna sell in a auction for more than I paid for it.

Just my $0.02 cents. Stock brings in a higher price.

If your buying the next truck from a dealer ask them if they will do what's called an "in & out" thats where you have a buyer in hand for your truck.
Both you & the buyer go to the dealer you trade yours in for say $100 under the agreed upon sales price to the dealer that dealer now sells it to your buyer for the additional $100 plus thier documentation fee (If they charge for it) and state sales tax (your buyer has to pay anyway) NOW'S The good part! You buy your new truck from the dealer for whatever you & the dealer agreed upon LESS the sales tax on your trade in meaning YOU only have to pay the sales tax on the difference between the two trucks.........now if your trading down you don't pay ANY sales tax (no thiers not a credit due to you)

Here's another one if your buying it out of your home (residence) state & your sales tax is less than the tax where your buying it file a "non resident exemption" with the selling dealer that way the dealer is off the hook charging sales tax, now your responsible to pay it in your state of residence when you licence it

Fuck the state & thier sales tax they get enough of it coming into your wallet AND when you spend it..........what a racket.

Stock has higher value in general than those with aftermarket. If you can bring it back to stock then sell the aftermarket , it’s a win win situation.
