Your truck will be fine if you have to wait. :)

I just bought my truck with 25k km's on it. The guy had put in a 3" lift and with 35's and never installed the UCA's. I tried to get it alligned and almost drove the tech crazy. After 25K km's the inside doesn't show a whole lot more wear at this point. I would say it is fine to wait . I am looking forward to installing mine though thats for sure!

    Lots.
If I got the Bilstein 5100's and set them at 2.5" would I get that steering wander?

Coilovers come first, then when my wallet has recovered I'm going for UCA's. Maybe after that some Spindles... Maybe.

Terrible noticeable? Like I will definitely want to upgrade or I just deal with it?

    A few bolts are different.
It is noticeable, but it can be dealt with. On uneven roads it will like to wonder, especially when applying the brakes. I want to get uca's also, just havent found the money to do so yet. After 30,000 miles tire wear is off only minimally and im pretty used to the wondering but i still want the alignment to be 100% with no issues.

I did everything all at once, mainly so I could get the extra travel, but it sure is nice having the truck still drive like brand new

I have a 3" lift and didn't replace my UCA's, yet. I plan on doing so, once my Money-tree is done growing..

2" Lift, no UCA's. Alignment is in spec, but fully cranked out. Any higher and they wouldn't have been able to get it in.

Im planning on doing my uca's with the 3 inch lift from toytec. Do the light racing ones they offer work for 04's? What is their major downfall? I was looking at the TC but for half the price im seriously reconsidering, if they work for my truck.

I've got at a 6 inch lift and can't wait to got my TC UCA's. It wanders like a mother and I can see the top of my tire sticking out more than the bottom when looking head on. It Aligns in spec with it maxed out on the camber. The tech said it wouldn't hurt anything and my tires are fine as it sits. So if you wait don't stress.

I had no idea 2-2.5" of lift requires new UCA's. I need to figure that into the cost and hadn't planned on it.
I want the truck to drive straight and comfortably. It's mostly a DD but also gets used for 8+ hour week-long trips to the beach.

I thought that new UCA is really needed, so decided to have 5100 set at 1.75 only.

My friend had a 3" lift without new UCA, yet no complaints at all. He had it aligned in a shop experienced in lifted vehicles. The shop told us that alignment with "specs printout" is only applicable with stock suspension and stock tires, where they use computers. They aligned the it manually and test drove the vehicle several times before turning it over to him.

I thought it make sense. Lifting the vehicle and changing tires is out of factory specs, so why bother with specified range? Those specs are designed for stock only. As long as the vehicle drive straight and the tires wear evenly, I won't worry about those specs. I will get a 3" lift without UCA soon.

I've got a 3" lift and my tires won't camber correctly so i'll have to get new UCAs before I replace my tires as I don't wanna shread em...tires are f*cking expensive!
