A few pics of my build and first actual amp rack

This barely fit but thank God it did! Finally got the setup I’ve been looking for and just thought I’d share. Sub box and amp rack came from mr marv and he did a wonderful job but with my amps being so big but I had a shelf made for my fuse blocks and the dsp to fit onto behind the backseat. I’ve gotta say that our alternators in the 3rd gen with tow package are very underrated bc I’m running 2 A/B amplifiers with a total of around 2200w and it’s not missing a beat. I did upgrade all wiring and ran multiple grounds throughout the truck and put an Odyssey Extreme group 31 in. Pretty happy with the finished product and it sounds amazing to me.

My speakers consists of Focal W-XP165 Utopia 2 way w 3.5WM Mid range and a JL Audio 12Tw3-4ohm DVC being ran @2ohm in parallel
I’ll update the pics once I put all the new door mounts and dash corner brackets in but here are some older ones.

I replaced a JL Audio HD 600/4 so I may be putting it for sale before too long

Nice choice and setup. Did you sound deaden your whole doors or just around the speaker and behind it?

 

I’ve sound deadened the whole truck besides the roof with butyl rubber and closed cell foam then I added some second skin luxury pro ccf/MLV to the floors and fire wall. Had to tear most all the deadener out of the back wall to get the sub box and amp rack to fit nicely and be able to fully lean back and lock backseats

Got the door brackets installed this afternoon and other than peeling 3 layers of butyl mat off everything went nicely and I’m loving the sound with it being right up next to the speaker grilles of the door. Can actually hear the difference and nothing is getting trapped in the doors. Surprised you cant see any blood in the pics bc i sliced my hands all up rushing to beat the rain

 

Looks good. Did you make those new mounts yourself or find them online? They look solid

 

Here’s a few pics of some stuff he’s making for other members he’s sent to me.. if interested I could probably get you in touch I met a guy through car audio forum who has all the equipment to do these on the side at his job. He was awesome to work with and made them UHMW. They are very solid. Best I’ve ever had personally

Yep. I spoke to Mr Marv last week about some items. Super nice guy

 

Edited his price. I couldn’t remember exactly but it was $150 for everything and I thought the shelf and door brackets alone were worth that after seeing the quality. Asked him and he said brackets like mine would be $70 plus shipping
