    i do a similar thing when I have bright bulbs, I agree this would be annoying

    It actually has nothing to do with "bright" bulbs. It has everything to do with where the light produced is directed. Most drop in LED bulbs produce less actual usable light. They're pretty good at sending light where it's not needed - like into oncoming drivers eyes for instance - and folks confuse this with them being "bright." Read the following post for a really good explanation:

    And if your fog lights are bothering oncoming drivers, you have a different problem. You either don't have a true fog pattern, or your lights are massively mis-aimed.
