Yeah why the change in sticker color? I was caught off guard but don't mind it. A bit cleaner with the AG if you decide to keep it. Which I am until we get some warmer weather

The only explanation I’ve heard was Toyota photoshopped the AG color into a photo of a cement Tacoma. The cement taco comes with the red and black. The silver grew on me though so I decided to match it with tailgate inserts 327E0A54-67F2-4392-AADF-575D97D3C77F.jpg32C65EEB-61E8-4DBC-A938-E3CA8EB3F391.jpg

Really? Super interesting. And yeah I also went from being a blackout everything guy to liking the chrome a bit more. Will still probably order some overlays and black inserts this summer but who knows. Liking the look you got going.

If I can get 3 more bronze wheels I'll plastidip the side emblems to match probably. Something different

Thanks- It’s a very versatile color. The only color I’ve ever seen that even looks good dirty! Lol
Enjoy your endless possibilities and congratulations on your new truck! Welcome to team AG!

Thanks! Yeah once I personalize it a little more I'll share some pics. Got some decent ones stock after doing a detail after bringing it home, but they're plenty of those. Trying to make it my own, and TW is giving me plenty of ideas and temptations lol

Do you mind sharing a bit more about that powder coating process on the rims? Where did you have it done and how much did it cost? I'm digging the look.

I had it done through a company here in the Salt Lake valley, called Armor Coatings. They are fantastic to work with, give them a buzz for pricing! I got a little better deal with my working relationship with them. Love the look though! Powder coating is a great alternative to aftermarket wheels.

If done right, does it compromise the structural integrity of the wheel at all? I am thinking of scooping up some refurbished TRD beadlocks and powder coating is part of the refurb process.

Not at all! The powdercoat is baked on, but obviously not hot enough to compromise anything.

Washed the truck so the AG would shine through.

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
I'm now getting a "Sorry something went wrong" message when using the pre-prod VIN. Is that good news, or are they just having issues? Just wondering if you remember what you got from that site after it was produced.

The update I got from the dealer yesterday late afternoon (2/26) said it had a prod date of 2/26.

I don't remember that as the message - but it seems like it's a good sign. If it was produced, the dealer should see the real VIN on their system soon.

Thanks. I don't want to be a pest, so I'll wait until next week to hit him up...not waiting until Friday, though! LOL

Probably my least favorite thing about this truck is the way the leather is stitched together and has “wings”that turn upward at the edges. I’ve only got about 2k miles on mine but I can already tell these seats are gonna be trouble. This is the first I’ve heard of it - thanks for the info
