That would have been nice with a small lift and some off road oriented wheels and tires.

My biggest complaint about it was that it didn't have an AUX input for my iPod; I finally got a new learner's permit and was ready for my dad to buy me a new stereo for it...

Instead, he bought me a whole new truck, so I'm not complaining! Our Pathfinder had an aftermarket Alpine head unit and six factory speakers (Non-Bose); Actually sounded pretty good!

With most vehicles you can change the audio system to your liking without too much difficulty. These newer vehicles with giant computer screens sitting on the dash may make that more complicated in the future though.

If I still had that Pathfinder, the stereo I’d end up installing would easily exceed the cash value of the truck itself!

I REFUSE TO DO WALMART GROCERY ORDERS! I got five of them in like a minute, and one of them was for only $3.25! :luvya:

One of last night’s pickups was at an Italian restaurant in Newtown; They had this cool old deli slicer (at least I’m 99% sure that’s what this thing is) on display in the lobby...

The Chick-Fil-A in Newtown, directly across the parking lot from the Italian place...

It seems like the Chick-Fil-A on 611 in Warrington is the only one in the area that has its shit together; Look at all that damn traffic!

While the line for the drive-thru at the Newtown location is pretty impressive, it does not hold a candle to the shitshow at the Cheltenham Chick-Fil-A!

The sizable order from the Italian place went to an older contemporary-style home; The house was fairly big (I’d say 2,500-2,600 square feet, give or take), two stories with a 2-car garage. I really liked this house, and the owner came to the door before I made it back to my truck; The owner was this older European woman (I’d say Polish or Romanian), and she was very nice. I ended up chatting with her about the house, and found out that it had only one central air-conditioner and heater for the whole house; Unsurprisingly, she said that the house always felt hot on the second floor during the summer, and she also said that the builder had really screwed up by installing only one system. What did surprise me was when she told me that the heating system was insufficient to keep the second floor warm in the winter (I’m guessing based this fact, and the home’s location, that it has a heat pump with electric backup; 2-story houses with heat pumps are known for begging drafty and unevenly warmed when it gets cold); She said that she and her husband had tossed around the idea of adding an additional system for the second floor, but that the cost (easily around ten grand) had them on the fence.

Anyway, she was very nice and left me an $11 tip!

After concluding last night’s dash, I drove over to the detail shop where I used to work, to say hello to my old coworkers and show off the latest improvements to my truck (foglights, patches, etc)...

There’s this 19-year old kid who started working there full time roughly eight months ago; We chat every time I stop by for a visit.

Last night, he told me that he’d put in his two weeks the day before, and planned to work at his parents’ successful business. His reasons for leaving were an eerie parallel to my own; He didn’t get along with the boss particularly well, he thought the detail shop itself was a hellhole, and he couldn’t stand the culture or his coworkers. I didn’t really have a problem with my coworkers, and my relationship with the boss was one of indifference at best, but the other two I can 100% relate to!

Like so many others before him, he took the job thinking it was an easy way to make a lot of money and got burned out in under a year! FYI, I lasted ten months; Even I’m amazed that I lasted as long as I did!

Also, towards the end of my time there (I’d say April or March 2019), the pressure washer shit the bed. Rather than replace it like they should have, they opted to repair it; Because the pressure washer was this overly complicated German machine (made by Karcher), it had to be shipped to an authorized repair facility. For about a month, we were without a pressure washer and had to use the hose, and I would have quit a couple months sooner than I actually did if it took them any longer to repair the damn thing. I’d say that within a month and a half of it being repaired, I was gone...

Last night, I found out that the same pressure washer had died for good, and the shop was without one for a month until the new one finally arrived; One of the reasons I left that job was because the detailers were treated like second class citizens by pretty much everyone else, and the detail shop itself was falling apart and generally in poor repair. About the only relief I got during the warmer months was the A/C in the various cars I was tasked with detailing and driving from place to place, since the shop itself did not have air-conditioning...

PSA to avoid the Taco Bell at 403 York Road in Warminster at all costs!

I’ve been to this location before, and aside from the food taking a long time to be prepared I’ve never had a problem until now. They have not allowed customer inside the restaurant in the past, and instead they have a walk-up thing where you ring a doorbell and they pass the food to you.

Today, the walk up was not manned, the store looked empty, and hitting the doorbell did not not summon an employee; Strangely enough, I found the door to be unlocked and there were no signs saying I couldn’t go in, so I went in...

All of sudden this older guy wearing Bluetooth headphones and a Taco Bell shirt appears and tells me I can’t be in there; I try to explain that the door was unlocked and he doesn’t even let explain that I’m DoorDash.

He starts getting hostile with me, which is a subconscious trigger for this aspie; I said “the fucking door was open,” and he’s obviously one of those 50s era douchebags who thinks all swearing is wrong (you’d never last in the bar business, buddy). He tells me to get out and I was all to happy to oblige, but he just had to keep running his mouth so I gave him the one-finger salute just as I reached the truck; He immediately noticed all the DoorDash garb on my truck and said “DoorDash, eh? You’re not allowed to come back!”

I can’t remember the last time I ate at a Taco Bell; Like I’m supposed to give a shit that I’m not allowed back at one in the shittiest part of Warminster?

I take 50%, or perhaps even 60%, of the responsibility here; I should have ended the order and walked out without a word. However, this guy shouldn’t have left the main entrance unlocked and unmanned with no sign saying that non-employees weren’t allowed inside!

I complained to DoorDash support, and despite specifying that I wanted to talk to someone who spoke English, I ended up getting an Indian guy with a very thick accent who I could barely understand. I don’t think I’m gonna get in any trouble for this, and I will NEVER go back to that Taco Bell again!

There is a Taco Bell (which shares space with a Long John Silver’s) in Lansdale; This place exclusively serves all customers (including Dashers) through the drive-thru, and though the line get long the service is fast and the employees are nice enough.

I’ll man up and say that I shouldn’t have cussed at the guy or flipped him off; What do you think about the Taco Bell guy’s behavior?

Almost all of the restaurants I pick up only require that you wear a mask inside their establishment, and most let you use their bathroom.

My argument is that if the guy didn’t want people wandering in, he should have kept the door locked and/or put a clear sign telling people not to come in!
