That is a shame. I kind of have a soft spot for the "sell everything, go for it and live on the road." But then again I have a soft spot for lease finance and tire questions, too! I kind of feel like his forum started out slow but was pleased that a lot of posts were people trying to help. Kind of a bummer but I understand the mods have to do what they think is best for the forum, too.

To be fair, this forum has been slightly funny and a little on topic. I don't think the original poster had an issue with his post count -- he is up to like 6,000 posts, I think. I mean there is a healthy debate about the points the guy makes about Tacomas. Some fair. Some not. But in the realm of discussion. I have to admit, I didn't know who the guy is so I checked out two videos and two articles. Not my cup of tea but I am always on the look out for practical content from people who use their Tacoma in interesting ways.

 

His name is Kane. 10 year old rescue rottie that was bred for fighting he's a gem now though and loves to go in the back of my truck with head out the rear window lol

I've never heard of Wes Siler other than this one article. He may be an idiot, but there was nothing but truth in the linked article in the OP.

FWIW I’ve camped with Wes and he’s an upstanding guy. Clearly effective at ruffling feathers.

Based on his latest IG posted saying no one should ever buy a Tacoma and everyone is better off with a Ranger I would like to revise my previous position to the idiot side please.

I didn’t buy a Tacoma for the tech, or the mpg. Besides the ranger has barely better mpg on fuelly that he bangs on about.
