vF Tuner for the 3.5L Tacoma

I know this question is going to sound stupid, but with the updates and extra credits, what do I do with the extra credits? I had already unlocked my truck. Do they give me access to more for my truck, or do I just hang on to them?

 

The 4 extra credits or for unlocking your VIN.

 

You now have to Unlock your VIN. The extra Credits will do that.

 

Even though I’ve previously unlocked it and used one of the ov tunes? Sorry, but I’m confused. Or maybe a better way to put it, unlock it a second time?

 

You unlocked just your ECU ID the first time and were able to flash your truck as well as any others with the same ECU ID. Now to flash, you need both the ECU ID unlocked as well as the VIN of the truck you wish to flash. You were provided the extra credits to unlock your VIN so you are able to continue to flash your truck (without extra charge).
To flash other trucks with your ECU ID you will need four (4) credits for each truck. Eight (8) if it has a different ECU ID than what you have (unlocked).

You only need 4 credits (for VIN unlock) to flash someone else's truck with a different ECU. You only have to spend credits to unlock a tune if you want to edit it before flashing.

 

I have enough trouble understanding this to do my truck let alone someone else’s.

 

Really? I guess that makes sense? All I know is that it costs more now for each additional truck whereas before it did not. I seriously doubt I'd be tuning anyone else's truck so I'm not versed in it. Thank you for that clarification

Its been a while since I have been on here, probably missed a lot! Is there a place dedicated to tunes that everyone has made that I can try out. I would love a GL tune thats a little aggressive. I had one before and liked it a lot but I dont remember which one it was... Thanks!

just wanted to update we are working on getting orders, emails/tickets updated as quickly as possible.

Need to get ahold of 35D70 for the 2020 4R too lol

 

I need to get a list of 2nd Gen and T4R ECU IDs to get a clue. LoL!

I keep meaning to do that with the Stock tunes in vF. But relating them to MYs and options is a challenge.
