Anybody have any issues towing a 4000lbs camper with a class III tow hitch and a 3 inch leveling lift kit? About to buy both, the lift kit and the camper.

Is the "3 inch leveling kit" just spacers in the front and blocks in the rear? I would be worried about axle wrap on the rear and potentially worse with that much of a trailer.

Yup, spacers on front and blocks on rear.

If you level the truck you'll end up significantly nose high after putting weight on the hitch. Trucks are built with some rake to allow the truck to sit level once the bed is loaded or trailer hooked up.

from what I understand, the kit will lift the truck as is, just give it a 3" lift. adding the trailer shouldn't make the rear do anything different than it would without the lift. or am i missing something?

Axle wrap is when the axle wants to rotate around the spring due to torque. The farther the axle is away from the spring, the easier it can wrap. Think of the blocks as adding a longer lever.

A level kit lifts the front higher than the rear to level the truck out. If it's a lift kit that lifts both ends equally it will be less of a concern.

What lift kit would give me 3 inches without breaking the bank? Or, better question, what size spacers in the front and what size blocks in the rear would give me an equal lift on both ends?
