Seems we are all in the same boat. Did you set up the master key when on the latest or older update?

I messed up and set up my key while still on 1.2.8.5

I haven’t connected to the truck yet since I’m waiting for the cable. But I don’t want to open any files or register my vin since it’ll take almost all of them.

maybe when the cable comes it’ll be different

Only did my VIN because it prompted me to (had the cable hooked up when I opened VF).

So @OVTune, when I updated I had 9 credits. Is that normal?

The reason I ask is bc I have in the past purchased more credits at $75. Did I lose those credits purchased for $75 when I updated?

    Just confused

The information is scattered around this thread but *I Think*, the idea was that everyone was supposed to get 4 additional credits. This allows you to flash your own truck (you need to register your VIN regardless of what ECU you have unlocked). *I Think* it was Mat's plan that everyone that bought credits in the past, would get that number of credits again to account for the new licensing system.

I would also like to know as I got credits from pre-ordering the Wi-Flash cable and it would be nice if those were doubled also.

Well today we went back to the rollers with @TWTaco ‘s truck using @PapaRee ‘s KD Performance tune. Last time we used my truck using 33” M/T’s and while the performance numbers were good... using stock tires was great!

Stock and OVTune 2.0 seemed to have the power dip at about 5300 RPM, and KD Performance has a pretty linear power curve all the way up to the 6300 RPM fuel cut that’s built into Toyota’s software.

All tunes were using the premium 91+ octane maps!

    Stock put down 233 WHP
    OVTune 2.0 w/THX 240 WHP
KD Performance 270 WHP +37 Over Stock!

Well, we knew on stock tires the numbers would be better. They are!
Even the 2.0 gained hp on stock tires.

yeah the tip in does take some getting used to im still enjoying the tune need to get it out on the hwy where i spend most of my driving and see how it reacts with morning temps and afternoon temps i also drive some interstate where its 75 to 80 mph but there is also 15 min traffic jams and a lot of stop and go also so we will see definitely excited to try it more out

Well I’ve got to give a huge shout out to @Mooseditty17 because be was kind enough to meet me and a friend up in Stevens Point Wisconsin to install the Kruiser 4.0 tune in both of our trucks. It has been amazing and my friend who has a 2016 Tacoma can’t say enough about it and mentioned that it is like driving a whole different truck. I’ve put about 110 miles on it so far and it is totally awesome, so thanks a ton AJ.
I also want to shout out @PapaRee and @TWTaco for your work on this and sharing it all. So stoked to put more miles on it and see it’s capabilities! :hattip:

We were not able to Gearlock the lower gears (even with gearlock activated), the truck will still shift. One thing about Toyota software, it has a lot of safety features, it looks at many variables and will eventually shift if you don't.
