No then the timing of the spiral cable and yaw rate sensor would be off.
    Poss snapping the cable.
Then would have to do recalibration and all that shit.
Plus he’s going to be right there.
I’ll push his seat back a few clicks.
That will fuck him up lol

    on edit.
He promised my like 10 lunches and
    A new spinning reel.
    Can’t screw with that

I don’t want to have to take it apart again.
    One and done.
If I do that it make me feel like I fucked up even if I am
    Trying to screw with someone.
Might be hard to understand for some
but,, I’m not opposed to jacking up the back end of a car and putting blocks
Under it so the tires barely touch...

My beater is a rusty 88 4Runner but I couldn't live with myself if I let it leak. Not sure when I'll use it because the Tacoma is so capable, but if I'm looking to not get stuck no matter what, the 4Runner is pretty safe.

Unfortunately in my area the term beater is kinda vague. This is due to we can't have any rust perforations in the body at all, or we don't get an inspection sticker. If you drive on an expired or missing inspection sticker your car will get towed and a hefty fine, sometimes more than what the car's worth. That doesn't stop all junk from being on the road. There's always a Joe's Uncle Brother's Sticker Slap Service around here.

As far as letting a beater leak, it's a touchy subject for me. If it's something easily repairable, then yea it gets fixed. If it's something like a front or rear main seal, that'll have to wait. My 4 banger S10 had both of those leaks, but required engine removal to fix it. Now, since it's a Subaru and headgaskets are a maintenance item, engine removal is required more often

Time for a minor change. Removed the accessory TRD O/R skid plate. Been on my truck since day one and I painted it black several years ago. However, the leading/top edge of the OEM skid plate is pretty rusty/flaking in spots. May need to replace. Don't need anything aftermarket as I don't wheel it too hard. Excuse the long front bolts/bushings. I had to reuse them to hold this one in place. I'll replace with shorter ones.

So you had the OEM skid under the TRD?

Yes, I believe it's intended to install with the OEM in place. It came from dealership like that.
