The OV Tune dyno runs posted on the first page of the 1.05 dev thread go down to 2,500 rpm. Hopefully we will get access to making gearlock work in the lower rpm range in the future. Your 5,000 rpm + gains are impressive, but 2k - 3k is where I'd really like to see more torque.

We are definitely trying... if anyone has dyno’d these trucks can shed any light on how we can get one gear to stick and do consistent pulls we are all ears...

We try a lot of different things on the dyno...

Also.. does the dyno pull on OVTune 1.05 page... are they using a manual trans truck?

Dont get me wrong I don’t mean to be negative or diminish what you guys have done at all, just really interested in what yall can do at lower rpms. I believe OVTune used his 2017 auto for his pulls.

No offense taken, we wanted to know the low end numbers ourself. We used the gear lock tunes but the truck still wanted to shift.

@TWTaco @PapaRee and myself are determined to figure this out... trust me, I want to see the low end performance gains myself and it’s bummed that something is quite not right with the gear lock.

We’ll try it again, I wasn’t manning the dyno this time, @TWTaco was at the helm and I’ll have to revisit the conversation to see if the guy running the dyno had it properly setup...

These are all valuable data points regardless and part of the learning process which is why we come back to the dyno tune after tune to learn and make the tunes better.

It’s also like a fun 3rd grade science experiment where you have a hypothesis and test your work to come to a conclusion and come back time and time again to get it right.

We are all having fun and learning as we go which is why we are even doing this with funds out of our pockets.

    put truck in ECT mode.
set ECT mode downshift tables to 0.
you can full throttle without downshifts.

We did NOT have them set to 0.
We had them set at the low value in the table/map.
That has to be the problem.
Thanks for the info. Makes sense!!
All the past GearLock info says to set them to lowest value.
