Yeah I was there yesterday between 3pm-6pm. Very gloomy day, a sunset would’ve been nice lol. Pretty cool little town!

Quite a few things at this point..
You missed the morning sunshine before that hit! It's even more gloomy today though. Yeah, it's a great little place. Wife and I are up there pretty often on weekends.

Also, new saw is faaaaaantastic. Cleared up the storm damage at my folks place yesterday. Speaking of which does anyone have a wood chipper I could rent/borrow?

And lastly, my favorite purchase ever. Get a copy of your vehicle's FSM, find peace and sanity.

I would use it for that purpose without any concerns. Though it is a bit sketch that the box has a different WLL than the tag.

Working load limit -WLL, and break strength are two different measurements. WLL should be 1/3 of the breaking strength of the gear. This is fairly standard in all types of rigging. WLL should never be exceeded. The difference is your safety factor. The safety factor provides an allowance for shock loading, G force, and other unforeseen factors.

    https://blog.uscargocontrol.com/working-load-limit-breaking-strength-and-safety-factor/

Don't underestimate the stock tires. They are certainly not the best, but they are far better than many will claim. They air down to 12 psi easily and do very well off road and in the snow. I have over 1000 miles off road on them and they have yet to be the limiting factor in keeping me from going where I wanted. Drove around for hours every day in the recent snow and they did great.

    This is awesome.

Stock tires took me pretty damn far for a year! The limiting factor was the ground clearance more than the tires.

Half a day steelheading on my buddies family ranch down on the south coast, then I led a 50 mile drive with him/parents in their Jeep over two small coast range passes in the afternoon. 65 degrees and awesome forest roads that they never knew were only 15 miles from their ranch. Gaia GPS was awesome and is opening up a whole new aspect of exploring.

Sorry the photo kind of sucks. We only stopped a couple times along the way.

Gaia (while not perfect) is great! If only it worked with Android auto like it does with Car Play. It's the only reason I've ever considered switching to Apple after all these years.

I just have my wife’s old iPhone 6 Plus mounted on a Ram/ Taco Garage multi mount. I just download the maps before I’m going and that has been a game changer. No more wondering “is this road going to dead end in 10 miles”.

If I were going to actually go find a device for that reason I would probably just buy a used iPad mini and make sure it has the cellular chip so gps works. The other option (slightly smaller screen) is the setup I have which is just an old iPhone 6 Plus. I lucked out because my wife got a new one this year and just gave me the old one for the truck.

Reading through my owners manual and came across this.

If you don’t drive 10 miles you should at least exercise the actuator by putting it into 4wd every couple of weeks

I have only had AWD or 2WD vehicles before. I had no idea that you had to switch it over so often.

I think it should be noted: your reading the manual. Great job!
