Yes, taken in Savannah just off the waterfront. I am loving the GX. It drives extremely smooth!!! Wife has taken ownership of it as we take several kids from our street to school in the mornings and the room is a little nicer than the old trusty Highlander. So now I’m driving the Highlander to work and going to just park the Tacoma for a while as miles were increasing rapidly.

Too bad you can't buy just the seal. Have to get the whole damn glass! If worse comes to worse, FIPG that sucker.

Aka rip out all the internals, and mount the glass permanently closed and sealant the crap out of it.

We did that with the 4Runner before I sold it. Except I just unplugged the motor after getting the glass level. Then just used FIPG on the gap between the seal and roof.

Problem I have is the cables are loose and the glass rattles. Just want to gut it and forget about it.

Does anyone else’s fuel door not open completely perpendicular? Mine opens maybe 60* before it’s catching and won’t open anymore. Barely enough to get the gas pump handle in...

Is the door rubbing on the quarter panel? It's a common ish issue on the GX. Just tweak the door a little to straighten it out. You won't break anything. Probably.

Any idea where to get a connector with pigtails that will plug in to the factory fog light connector? Was gonna wire up some fogs (probably get the SS3 Sports in yellow) and didn't want to cut the factory plug. Since our factory connector on the fog light side has that funky plug/cover.

@memario1214 might be able to help. They should just be an H11 plug...to be confirmed though.

The fog light side of things looks like this:

The car side of things looks like a Toyota harness connector. Not standard by any means.

4Runner problem too. My 4th gen 4Runner door had this issue. In my case it ended up being that the hinge wire rusted and broke. Tried bending out the door to avoid rubbing but didnt help. Ended up getting a replacement and painted to match, reinstalled using nuts and bolts instead of rivets.

Given the current insane market for GXs that doesn't seem too bad. Looks like it's spent all of it's life in FL and SC which is good for rust. The only timing belt I see is at 85k according to the records. Looks like a decent service history in Lexus National Service History as well. It shows the dashboard was replaced in 2015 under the CSP (it wasn't a recall!).

A few notes of concern on the last service visit to a Lexus dealership on 12/14/2020 at 161399 miles:

ENGINE MINOR DIAGNOSTIC $129.95 PRINTED HEALTH TEST RESULTS, TEST DRIVE, VISUAL ~|~GUEST STATES WHEN COMING TO A STOP WHEN THE AC IS ON THERE IS A LOUD RATTLING CLUNKING SOUND UNDER THE HOOD . CHECK AND ADVISE. ~|~AC COMPRESSOR MAKING EXCESSIVE NOISE. RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT. GUEST DECLINED.

CUSTOMER DECLINED RECOMMENDED SERVICES ~|~ ~|~RECOMMEND WHEEL STUD, AXLE SEAL, VALVE COVER GASKETS, POSSIBLE REAR MAIN SEAL, COOLANT CHANGE, DRIVE BELT, STEERING FLUID CHANGE, DIFF FLUID SERVICE. GUEST DECLINED.

Although these may have been corrected before sale by Vaden of Beaufort. But something to look out for is you're interested. The second concern could just be recommended services and not critical.
It also has the non VVTi engine, so a little less power but a little less complicated.

I would say about average in this market. Best deal recently was the guy that got the one from Arkansas

Anyone here have a Mark Levinson amp go bad? Mine finally died and I'm looking to get it repaired. Tried to contact United Radio multiple times for repair and have heard nothing. Curious what everyone else has done.

Can run a system check from the head unit. It should tell you what the problem is. Can find used amps on ebay usually.

What’s the consensus on replacing bushings for the rear suspension stuffs.

    panhard bar
    Trailing arms
    Lower control arms

    ?

mine aren’t bad but they’ve got some age and I’d like to go ahead and get it all replaced since I’m gonna be starting to buy parts for the rear lift and airbag delete.
