In Colorado, they were widely stocked. I was "I'll never need them in Austin, TX". :)

Walmart can ship them. About $60 a set, free shipping. It's worth buying two sets for that "once in a 120-year storm" as something tells me we will see more of those storms within the next few years.

Yep. Owatonna was about 40 minutes up Hwy 218 from Austin, MN, my hometown. I worked 12 hour shifts, midnight to noon, for $6.35/hour, after I learned how to run the NC and CNC lathes.

2-18 was later a song by the Gear Daddies, also from Austin. The lead singer, Martin Zellar, pops up around here from time to time, (was in Dripping Springs Friday night), and Nick Ciola, the bass player, is a relative of Tony Ciola, the guy behind Tony C's, The League, and now Mighty Fine Burgers.

Warm, overcast day. I need to get off my butt and go for a bike ride.

I just spotted the thread on the Lone Star Jamboree. Used to love wheeling at Gilmer. Canvas top FJ40 drumming the whole way up Highway 79. It was one reason I bought my 2500HD Crew Cab, so I could toss my kids in and tow the FJ40. Lots more room for gear, too!

Tempting to attend. I plan on rock sliders (120 DOM) and a full skid plate (1/4 aluminum), so I don't tear things up, but there is a lead time on those items. Ya missed the group buys on the skid plate.

Crud, I just realized MS150 (we are doing a shorter ride this year) is the same weekend. I am usually "tail end charlie" on long rides but usually carrying just enough tools/knowledge to get other cyclists back on the road.

I should really do the MS150, I'm afraid is I show up to Gilmer with a dead stock Off Road I'll do something really stupid!

There will be plenty of people there doing stupid stuff for you to look at and say NOPE!

Some guy thought it was a great idea to jump is T4R mildly built and one of his SCS wheels literally exploded upon impact.

Not yet, I’m getting a cap in a few weeks and I want to have a full rack so I’m waiting for the cap to arrive before adding on the rack.

They are not currently performing installations at this time. Unfortunate.

Ok, I am booked weeknights in to May. CBI/Prinsu I believe makes an access rack. Holes need to be drilled in the roof and nutserts put in to secure the rack. I have a nutsert tool to do this.
