Today I installed the OEM Tailgate lock as well as black mountain hatch and the Rok Block Tailgate gap cover


And a under hood light



Anyone have advice on how to reinstall the passenger side kick panel? I got one clip in but I gave up on the other one.

 

Took it out to play in the snow.


Updated my copilot to permanent status.

 

Dipped the rear bumper caps and mirrors, black door handle covers and finally fitted the dust seal for the tailgate.

 

You proposed?

 

Any tips on the tailgate lock? I'll be doing mine this week.

Tried to get these scratches out of the clearcoat with T-cut. They are improved but still there, I don’t think it’s gone all the way through to paint.

I’m fine if they don’t come all the way out but should I seal the scratches with something?

 

Yea, cuss louder.

 

Quick tip: if you get them wet and they disappear, it is clear coat. If they don't, it is beyond that.

All I did was follow this YouTube video verbatim https://youtu.be/gz-8j4S3Dkw .It took me about an hour only because of the damn kicker panel!

 

I'd put a nice coat of paint sealant on that and keep up with it regularly to prolong the life of the remaining clear coat. That's about all you can do without respraying the clear. Some clear scuffs are better left unpolished. (FWIW, I can't tell how deep those are from the pictures.)

I did this on Maui and invited no one. It was awesome! Highly recommend eloping to everyone.

 

The 2020 and up are pre-wired to add the lights. Before 2020 are not, so it’s not an easy plug and play mod.

 

just installed mine last week. Having someone with smaller hands, like your wife or girlfriend, to help feed the harness under the carpet and out the hole in the floor is a huge help.
