Just did a quick internet value check on equal the sport/OR used value. I only changed the trim level.

Nah, its just because the truck vibrates so much over bumps because of the shocks... thats why the ladies like the sport.

That makes sense that they would be the same.

KBB prices them different where I'm at. First picture is the sport. Second picture is the OR. Same exact features selected.

(Based on a 2019 Tacoma DCSB with BSM/Tech, running boards, bed mat, and 7000 miles)

Sorry guys. Doesn't to me. I am still trying to wrap my head around how a hood scoop equals in value, the off roads larger axles, rear locker, Atrac/mts and better off road shocks. Option wise all else is the same on all of the trucks.

First the or shocks are not better for on road. And second, used values are based off new values, so if they start out the same, there is a good possibility they would sell the same used. But value is in the eye of the beholder.

It's location based as someone else mentioned. Honestly, I have more confidence in buying a used sport than I would a used OR. I have no idea how the OR may have been used offroading and abused, but I know the sport most likely didn't go through that. People also value better ride quality of the sport on the sport tuned suspension.

I see your point, just wierd because the extras do cost money. There is no denying that. I wonder what the value of the road shocks in the sport is? Vs the bilsteins in the or

I like it. There is no rational reason, and I'm not gonna shoehorn a goofy mod into it to make it feel more rational.

    Fuck off.

Truly don’t know, if I had done more research, I would have bought the OR a over my sport. But if I did that research, I would have paid too much for the pro.

I also got a manual which is the bigger axle as well, not that I planned it, but we all get lucky once in a while.

It seems that if u want off road capability the OR is the choice. It is 95% of the pro at 80% price. The additional features the pro has can be made up at half the difference in msrp and the new parts would be better

I don't want to get too far off the topic of the the Thread being why people like or don't like the hood, but ride quality is just as subjective. I am in a rural area with beat up roads and appreciate the smoother comfortable ride of the Off Road as the Sport was a little too harsh, but again it's just a personal preference.

Good point! Beat up roads would lead to the OR having better ride quality in that situation.

I am glad Toyota makes several different Trim Levels and Configurations because they satisfy and make a large portion of people happy.
