    For what it looks like, thats expensive. Probably why its been listed for over a month. Most listings in that price range have "all offers due 1 week after posting" or something in the description.

    You can tell granny died in that thing and the kiddos want to milk that wood paneled hell for all its worth without putting a cent into atleast painting over the stuff.

    Well anything in NC or SC is over paying to me haha. But at least where I live you can't touch anything under 250k

    A simple single floor 3 bed 2 bath new construction home around here will set you back about $250k in a desirable area. Add in taxes and the dreaded HOA fees that all new neighborhoods around here have and youve got yourself a pretty big monthly payment for a 22 year old bachelor.

    Id rather buy something like that (but not at that price) and spend the time and money required to make it nice.

    My ex-wife kinda looked like Cher in Moonstruck movie days. Very popular NYC look.

    That would be an option if it were around $150k ish. $200k is a lot to pay for something that needs a gut job like that around here.

    @Blue92

    A friend's house in the woods. It's quite enjoyable and low maintenance.

    T&G Knotty Pine was popular in the 50s. Best part is drywall screws never miss wood when rocking over.
    What may appear to be paneling is
    3/4 inch thick tongue and groove.
