Agreed. I was wondering what the problem was but, I forgot I have the desert does it seatjackers front and rear. It’s tight but not a fight.

    Oh man…
This is awesome! If I went the cap route I was definitely thinking of something like this. I went with the Leitner rack instead. I really dig those bed tents though. Packs up small, does the job, even a bed mattress wouldn’t take up much room. Just an awesome setup IMO. Minimal and functional. Thought about a rear awning with it?

I’ve done it twice now. First time took about an hour, second time took about 45 minutes. There are PDF instructions online, look those over and have them on your phone for quick reference or print them out.

The hardest part for me was the cable protector that fits in the tailgate and the bed - super hard to snap into place again. However long it takes, enjoy how much you saved over having the dealer install it for you. I was quoted 3.5 hours at $120/hr.

    It's upside down,
    I don't have OCD, but...
    that-really-rustled-my-jimmies-26914339.jpg

For 2019 and below, you will need to do the cut out yourself, and run your own wires. There is no plug and play option.

    Congrats!

Any potential issue with water ingress from rain?

It has drain holes and it does go to the passenger side for the lowest point so I don’t think so

that piece I did first, and then a few weeks later I had to reset that piece. It’s a nightmare. But I got it set right before I laid down a gap cover. I bet I spent 30 minutes fighting with that clip. So glad the rest was smooth.

Thanks! and Yes, I was thinking about a rear awning too. Looks like they might work pretty well together. Need to keep the sun off out here in the desert. I will post if/when I do it.

I bet it sounds nice, big difference to the K&N?

I’m sure it’s designed well and appropriately, a wet air filter would be like water boarding the engine.

Saved a little weight, gained a little space. Finished up a cheap rear seat delete.
