I had my truck treated at Toyota under the recall/TSB, a couple of months ago. They did up inside the boxed sections in the front and installed the plugs, but they wouldn't treat the c-channel areas because I'd already treated them. Toyota corporate told them not to treat the areas I'd already done. It kind of pissed me off, like I was being penalized for taking care of my truck. My frame still looks great (2014) and will continue to because I treat it often and have no intention of selling it for probably another 10 years.

Believe it or not, the TSB is only for the box sections and not the entire frame.

The guy that does my undercoating every fall has switched from Fluid Film to PFC made by Berkibile. He'll still use FF by request but he feels that the PFC (protection first class) lasts a bit longer.

But we've all seen the pictures on here of folks that have had their frames treated and it shows the coating in the c-channel, sandwiched areas as well. I assumed this was standard for the procedure.
That brings up a good point. What is everyone else seeing??

The photos and TSB instructions that I’ve seen from the newest frame coating campaign is only the boxed sections. The older one for earlier trucks used a harder material coating that dried and cracked. I believe they sprayed that crap all over.
