I would open up a CD account instead. A CD account you get a fixed interest rate growth, it's low return compared to an IRA or something like that but relatively no risk.

A savings account will literally only give you a few pennies a year in interest

Most any bank should have CD account options, you just can't take any money out of them for however long the account term is otherwise you pay a penalty.

I’m not really interested in getting money off of interest, I just don’t want it in my credit account anymore.

yeah I edited it to add that you can't take money out of a CD without drawing a penalty

But you can do them for as short as 1 year I think, although you won't get much in interest that way

 

It's basically a second checking account for overdraft.

I would hate to see what thare hous looks like or smells like.

 

They have a pretty strict HOA in that area so I would be surprised if someone managed to house 30 cats without getting in trouble for it, but who knows

 

Thats messed up if an HOA can say what you can or cant do inside your home. Outside is screwed up enough, but inside is an entire new level.
