OEM cams are actually really good, just a little preventative maintenance needs done (grease or anti seize)

I realize this is a year old thread, but I really like the look of your truck and plan do the same with my 2011 DCLB. A couple of questions for you:

Did you you have any driveline vibrations after you did your lift?

Have you had any problems with your wheel bearings after you installed the spacers?

Seems like Taco to F150 is a pretty common jump.

Probably my next one, realistically. I keep hoping the new Tundra will be announced and all, but that EcoBoost has been out for a decade at this point and seems like a really good choice.

I love the truck! It has so much room, it’s rides so smooth and quiet, good gas mileage and it’s fast as hell and can tow almost anything. I was between a Tundra and this. You can’t get the longer bed with the crewmax Tundra so that was 80% of my reasoning and the other 20 was the engine. This ecoboost is just awesome. People hate on them... I wouldn’t buy anything else in a halfton. I’ll be posting up some of my pics and what I’ve done so far etc. I’ve had it almost 3 years now and just getting around to posting on TW again. Lots changed on here! Haha ✌

The day I bought it! April 2018. I Drove down to Leesburg Virginia. No other dealers came close to the deal I made with them.

    2018 XLT SuperCrew 6.5’ bed 3.5L EcoBoost

    Current Mods List:
    - Bilstein 5100’s x4
    - 2” rear block (replaced factory block)
    - Cooper AT3 XLT 275/65/20
    - stubby antenna
    - Rear SumoSprings
    - ARE Bed Cap (winter/travel/camping)
    - OEM bed mat
    - air dam removal

    Future Mods list:
    - tint front windows
    - de-chrome
    - new/paint/dip/powder coat wheels???
    - katzkin leather

I drove it stock for the summer and knew I needed new tires before winter. The stock Wranglers are terrible. What better time to upgrade some suspension parts than when I NEED new tires!

I added Bilstein 5100’s all around set at 2.1” and added a 2” rear block. Wanted to keep a little rake to it.

went with Cooper AT3 XLT 275/65/20
Fantastic tires! Great road manners, good in snow, very quiet. I’ve ran a ton of different tires on a lot of different trucks, these are right up there at the top of my list.

also added some OEM matching fender flares to give it a little more of a finished look.

Added ARE bed cap. Used off Craigslist for $600 thumbsup_c524b79448d23e235277c95572b4bbca71e4ed53.gif
I run it in the winter and anytime we travel or go camping. I made a lift in my garage which allows me to take it off or put it on in 5 minutes

made a lift in my garage for storing the cap when not in use.

I dig it. I didn't notice it was the long bed until you mentioned it.

We've got the 3.5L EcoBoost in an Expedition and that thing will MOVE when you need it. The experience we've had with the family hauler puts the 150 at the top of my list for when it is time to get a new truck.

On the flip, I just put a ton of money into the Tacoma to add some features that I've been wanting (like remote start) and also some maintenance items (like new tires). I keep trying to talk my wife into letting me get a new truck and keep the Tacoma, but she isn't budging....yet....
